Reviews for Maison Selby in Toronto, ON
The prix fixe menu for Thanksgiving is what it took to finally draw me here, and boy oh boy did it deliver. First off, Maison... Selby I would argue has *the best* French onion soup in Toronto. Second, the entrees were immaculate. Finally, the dessert wasperfectly done and the flavours melded together beautifully. You absolutely must try this institution! Read more
Everything taste amazing 10/10. The bread was so soft ???? one of the best bread. The lamb dish doesn't have the strong... smell.(so it was very very very good). Overall it's ????????. Read more
Solid French food, great atmosphere, lovely decor. The meals were excellent, especially the coquille St-Jacques and the steak... frites. We really enjoyed the experience. Great service and friendly staff. A strong recommend. Read more
So much to love about this place! From the historic building, interior decor, to the food and service - everything is so on... point! Stick to the classic French dishes for the best experience, though it’s hard to go wrong here If you have extra time, check out the hidden bar downstairs thru the “secret entrance”! Let's start with the good, the French onion soup was amazing. Wonderful broth and heavy on the Gruyère. The service was truly... lacking. The waiter could not tell me what cut of beef was used for the Tartar. Still, I order the Beef tartar, it was okay. Thebig piece of anchovies and the baby dill pickles should have been chopped up and mixed in. The quail egg yolk was nice forpresentation but was too tiny. The cocktails are good but nothing special. The ambiance was loud greatest hits of the ’80s.Still, you could talk over it, plus the seating is tight and easily overhear your neighbour's conversations. Read more
Very good food, good service. Tables not too crowded. Music not too loud. The music was very upbeat but I was hoping for more of... a jazz selection. That in my opinion would have gone better with the European- like ambiance. Lots of artifacts on thehistorical background of the building. Very interesting. Read more

Beautiful location and delicious drinks! Quite pricey but worth every penny! The lighter drink is ‘The Eleventh Hour’ -... bubbly strawberry and lavender spirit The darker drink is the ‘Winter Sangria’ - flavors of orange and brandy. Highlyrecommend! Read more
