Reviews for Little Pebbles in Toronto, ON
Really good latte. There isn't much of a seating area but we were there on a rainy Sunday morning and it wasn't busy at all.... Wish I tried the baked goods, they looked delicious! Read more
It was not what I expected but I enjoyed authentic Japanese baked cheese cake! ( I imagined inside cafe is bigger and brighter... when I saw some pictures on social.) Iced black coffee has a bit acidic side to my liking but it goes well with a sweet cake. Iwould come back for a sesame cake and mochi Daifuku. Coffee: De Mello Coffee Roasters Read more
Stumbled upon this café and had to go in when I saw their sign advertising their Croissant cube! I'd never heard of a cube... shaped Croissant before so I had to try it! Other than its shape and impressively large size, nothing else about it was special. It tasted like a yummy Croissant (as expected) and was soft with the flaky layers inside. It was a fun experience and the matchalatte was tasty. They also do latte art on hot chocolate! I probably wouldn't get the Croissant cube again because it was priceybut once was worth it for the experience and I would definitely visit the café again. Read more
Recently had my birthday, and my roommate got me a strawberry shortcake (my favourite kind of cake, so I've had quite a few!)... This one in particular was really good and light! They wrote a birthday message to me on a delicious cookie, and the cake wasthe perfect ratio of cream and cake. I also picked up an iced latte to-go, which tasted really smooth and lovely. I love theatmosphere of the cafe, makes good use of its cozy space. Will definitely have to come back for some mochi or a croffle! Read more
I really like the idea of this place and the baristas clearly take their job seriously, meticulously measuring the coffee (they... literally removed a quarter teaspoon of coffee to get the grams right on) and the baked goods are Instagram worthy and tasty, but there were a few things that would prevent me from going back. First of all, it?s hot and small inside, meaning that you?relikely ordering to go. That said, specialty orders (I got a hojicha latte and a Hokkaido-style latte) take a long time to makeand the baked goods don?t pack super well. It?s also quite pricey. While the croissants are beautiful (following the trend offillings, multi-colours and funky flavours), they are expensive, costing $6. I didn?t try the cakes, but the strawberry mochawas also about $3.75 a piece. Finally, while the workers clearly care about their craft, they aren?t super warm opposed toother coffee shops in the neighbourhood. This place is best if you?re looking to pick up a few fancy croissants and somecreative Japanese drinks to impress some friends, otherwise it?s probably more cost effective to head to one of Kensington?sother coffee shops. Loved the sweet treats from this lovely little cafe. The lady behind the counter was very nice and said the croffles, which is... so unique and my first time eating one, would be great when heated a little, especially the caramel one. The cafe has a niceambiance and I want to try all their other goodies some time soon. It's in a great spot in Kensington market, so it's perfect toget a dessert here after a meal in nearby restaurants. Read more
This place is a gem in the heart of Kensington market. So many delicious things here. My favorite ones, among other things, are... tiramisu latte, berry croffle, matcha raspberry croissant, strawberry croissant, and breakfast danish... Tried my first blacksesame latte here... very good, interesting, but not my cup of tea. Anyway, highly recommend this place. The staff is veryfriendly and welcoming. Read more
Great cafe. Cool different types of pastries. It's not what you get in a normal cafe. There was only one person making the drink... so there was a little bit of a wait. It got cleared pretty quickly. The pastries were pretty good and the cappuccino was good. Read more
