Reviews for Lazy Daisy's Cafe in Toronto, ON
I forgot the name of the meal I got but it was fried chicken, biscuit, side salad and mac n cheese all in one for about $22.... Everything was delicious except the chicken was not as tasty as I had hoped. It was very crispy which would have been greatexcept when you cut into it, everything fell off so it wasn't a part of the chicken anymore. The portion was a bit small forfried chicken (though it's deceiving in the pic, it was mostly batter) but the rest of the meal made up for it. The biscuit wasby far the best thing ever... I would definitely come back just to eat that! Service was okay, lots of young staff that arestill learning the ropes. Great atmosphere and lots of tables. Happy we got a table on Saturday at 1pm. Lots of street parkingand also a green P nearby. Read more
Food is good. Fries are good and the pancakes are really good. They didn't have mac and cheese or fried chicken but we came an... hour before close. The service was very slow and there were flies all over and an ant in the syrup. 3 stars just because thefood was good Read more
I always loved this place and visited a few times before Covid - and then it was a take out only for quite some time. I am so... happy that it reopened for the dine in experience again! the interior looks so bright and happy after the renovation - with nicepastel colours and the super cute daisy/sunny side up motive. they have delicious coffee there - I've just discovered seasonalpumpkin spice beans for my at home brewing. it seems that an early afternoon (the place closes at 3pm) is a good time to visit,as it's not too busy or hectic like on the weekends. It is also LCBO certified, so one can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with ameal. they also have some cool merch! Read more
The food and service were amazing. Friendly staff, divine food that was fresh and exactly as described! The cortado was a touch... tart but still smooth and rich! Can?t recommend this place enough Read more
The buttermilk biscuits were soft, fluffy and flavourful! I asked our server to recommend items and they recommended two chicken... sandwiches - the Rise N? Fry breakfast sandwich and the Mother Clucker. The breakfast sandwiches use their buttermilk biscuitsand the regular sandwiches used some other type of bread. I ordered the breakfast sandwich one and it was super tasty! The friedchicken in it was very crispy and well seasoned. I found my sandwich was quite filling because of all the protein (fried chicken+ egg). Cute interior with a fair amount of seating space. I believe it's walk-in only, but there wasn't much of a wait when Iwent (a Saturday around 11am/12pm). Read more
Pretty tasty food but chaotic atmosphere and very slow, mediocre service. We got the cinnamon bun pancakes and the Rise n' Fry.... Both were good but the tiny plate they gave for the Rise n' Fry made it unnecessarily hard to eat. (It's a fork and knife kindof food since it's too hefty to eat as a handheld) Our server took our order relatively fast but the food took 40 minutes tocome. The place is very poorly ventilated so it's super smokey from the cooking. Your clothes will smell like food once you'reout of there. It's also a very kid-friendly place, which is great for families, but it got extremely loud and crowded. More andmore people kept coming in, crowding the front tables, with kids running around and bumping into seats, and the staffunfortunately didn't do anything to crowd control. Overall I'd say it's not worth going back because of the disorganization andchaos. If you really want to eat here on a weekend, your best bet would be to go before 10:30 am. Read more

Son of the Rise was perfect if you love bacon, eggs and avocado. It was my first time trying a biscuit - it was soft but... dense/filling. Ice Oat milk mocha was great too, not too sweet. I asked if they served Matcha (it wasn't on the menu) and thewaitress said no, however, later on I noticed they had Kato Matcha next to the coffee machine - menu needs updating. I orderedthe Cinnamon pancakes to go - excellent. The pancakes itself isn't too sweet, but watch out for the maple syrup - you only needa little bit. Read more
