DOUBLE BOOKED THE UPSTAIRS PARTY ROOM, LEAVING MY GUESTS (20+ PEOPLE) AND ME WITHOUT A VENUE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!!!! First off,... I have been a regular customer at Kramer’s for about 4 years, and have 4-5 times rented the upstairs second floor “privateparty” room for various celebrations. I have always had a great time here, but yesterday I had the worst experience ever! Ihad rented the upstairs floor for another event for about 20-25 people. Turns out there was a DOUBLE BOOKING, and another bigparty was happening upstairs when I arrived!!! I called and the manager called me back a few minutes later, saying there was aconfusion/misunderstanding and that he is going to see if we can “share” the upstairs with the other party. Turns out theyhad a huge guest list and it was not possible (that is what the server who was at the restaurant told me). I then tried callingthe manager who did not pick up, and later sent a text: “Hi, I'm trying to figure out how and where. I'm so sorry, look likethere was a reservation that I never saw”. Then nothing thereafter. I said I wanted the downstairs floor to ourselves butbecause it was karaoke night they said it wasn’t possible!! Can you imagine how it felt expecting 20+ guests to a privateevent and your booked space is not available??? On a Saturday night??? There was a minimum spend of $1500 which we could havespend downstairs! Instead they offered us 2 tables! And I have never heard a word from the manager!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, andnone of my friends or myself will ever go back here. Read more
I had an awesome visit at Kramer's. Friday night Karaoke at its best. The crowd was very friendly (and forgiving), and just a... great time had by all. Can't wait to visit again. Read more
A few weeks back I visited for lunch, on a Friday. I ordered the quesadilla, and it was supposed to have pinto beans in it, but... it had baked beans instead?! It was edible... But I would not order that again. I asked if they had coffee, the server said yesso I said can I have one please... But it never showed up. at least it didn't show on my bill at the end though. My friend thatwas there with me ordered a vinaigrette salad as advertised on the menu and she was brought some other type of dressing that wasnot vinaigrette, and when she asked for vinaigrette they brought white vinegar. The server had no clue what malt was. Meanwhilethe server was taking frequent smoke breaks out front in full view of our seat. Overall not a great experience. Somehow I felt comfortable here from the start (have been two times by now). It's so good to have a nice place like this in our... neighborhood. Nothing pretentious, just a place for people in the neighborhood to hang out. I have seen how people support eachother's karaoke singing. It gave me a warm feeling. I also liked the range of songs people chose to sing. Read more
Nice place, great ambient, very friendly and fun. Promise that the next time I'll have the courage to sing a song. Like the food... and beer. Maybe, I'll suggest that the gin n tonic could be a little stronger. Read more
It was our first time here. The food was okay, was asking for the dressing on the side of the salad but they forgot. I like the... grill chicken (in my Caesar salad), which was very tender and delicious, but portions could be better. My partner got the bbqchicken sandwich, and he liked it. but he was hoping if they could toast the buns, then that would be perfect. The popcornshrimp was good, and we both enjoyed it. The server was okay, a little bit unprofessional and barely checked out our table, butthey were trying to do their best, which I was appreciated. My partner and I came here on a Wednesday afternoon to watch a sporting event. The pub was about 30% full, had one bartender on... and a manager, who chose to partake in watching the sporting event rather than manage. We were greeted quickly by the bartenderbut after that there was a lack of care about the rest of the experience. We each ordered a beer and shared an order of wingsbut unfortunately the hot wings never came as the bartender forgot to ring them in. I understand that it gets busy and thesesort of things happen. We asked about the wings after waiting for 45 minutes. 15 minutes later, and an hour after originallyordering them, they arrived but were the wrong flavour. Again, not a big deal, it happens. The things that bother me are that wewere never checked on, never asked if we wanted another round when our drinks were empty, plates weren't cleared from the table,had to ask for our bill and nothing was offered regarding the poor service. When I suggested maybe we get a discount, thebartender was nice and went to ask his manager, who was sitting with other patrons and watching the game, however, the managerseemed annoyed and waved his hand as to sluff us off and did not care that customers could see his reaction to us asking for adiscount for poor service. Things happen, I understand that as I worked in the service industry for many years, but at leastshow in the slightest like you care about customers. I usually do not write bad reviews or even complain to servers about thingsas I understand what it is like, but I feel like this is worth while.
