Cash only authentic Chinese restaurant in town. The indoor layout looks clean and modern than expected. Their food is hit and... miss to me as I love chicken congee but other dishes can be improved. Their bbq duck might have stronger smell than expected andthe beef flakes contains a lot of fats. Hot & sour soup might be too thick for my taste. Overall, it isn't bad and they have ahuge menu. I used to love coming to this restaurant back in the days when food and pricing made sense. I tried my luck again this week and... came out with disappointment. **ATM in this restaurant feels like a scam. A quarter of bbq meat (23$) came out really small :(The duck meat was mostly bone in, not much meat. BBQ glaze was off. Youtiao (2.5$/ea) wasn?t even fresh as the server claimed. It was cold. Taste wise was the best in this table. Congee, not in picture (8.5$) was mere. Nothing special. The servers (notcashier) were prob the reason for my 2nd star. Will serve food fast and get you everything per request. They only take cash butwill still charge you for tax. ATM inside the restaurant stated they charge 2.75$ for service, but I ended up paying 3.75$ forservice fee. Wasn?t a big fund to argue over, but misinformation like this was a major red flag and turn off for me. I justmesmerized the good old time here and will never return. Read more

I heard this noodle shop has been around for a long time. It was nice to finally try it while I was in Chinatown. It wasn?t too... busy during tea time at 2:00pm on Saturday. The shop was decent and clean compared to other shops in the area. The food andservice was ok. They have many selections on their menu to choose from. The price & portion was reasonable. If you crave forChinese bbq this is a place for you. Read more

Had lunch here in May 2022. Didn't plan to be here. Happened to walk by and saw the beautifully roasted duck and pork hung where... the chef was preparing the food. Went in and really enjoyed the food. Servings were quite huge. So better to share. Service wasgreat. The place was very clean. But don't know why the basement toilet lights were not working and the wall in the toilet hada lot of graffiti. Read more

They overcharged me by $40 and I didn't receive any receipt. Unethical. Food taste has gone downhill. The only really good dish... is the spicy green beans with minced pork! Read more

I ordered the rice w/ pork chop and sweet & sour sauce dish but I mainly went here recently for the nostalgia. The food here is... always good and well priced. Since I?m from KW, we don?t really have great Chinese BBQ spots like King?s Noodle so I?m reallyglad I was able to come here. The food came out quickly and tasted great! Read more

Driving By Spadina ... there's tons of goodies everywhere how can you pick one place when everything and everywhere looks so... delicious!! So many authentic asian dishes everywhere as we were in the Mecca of Chinatown Toronto. This place caught our eyesin particular why you may ask? They have their ducks hanging out the window display which is usually what trips me and myhusband!!! We also saw lots of locals enjoying their meals here!! So we decided ok that's it that's the one! Service: veryquick and efficient.. It was pretty decent I'd say but not over the top friendly. They make you pay Cash only ** which is notthe best when you travel they force you to go to their ATM machine if you have no cash. Pretty annoying to say the least. It'snot cheap either came down to 60 $ ish for everything. Around 20$ per dish We obviously got some peeking duck and bbq pork Tostay a lil healthy we also got some mixed vegetables. We mainly wanted Chop suey, I guess they misunderstood as they gave us amixture of veggies and not much bean sprouts.. only complaint The chineese donuts where amazingly fresh, airy, and flakyytasted exactly how I remembered from this one place in Montreal The duck 5+++++++ fresh and deelish it was soo tender and justready to be devoured I enjoyed it so much definitely recommend!! The BBQ pork was good slightly overcooked but still tons offlavour .. maybe will skip the pork next time Overall, the duck was the highlight and that's what we came here for! Definitelyworth trying the duck and the desert bread was SOOOO GOOD Id skip the pork and the veggies but that's your call Cheers Read more
