Finally got around to trying this place since it's re-opening. Elevated spot for high quality Thai dishes. The braised beef... short rib boombai curry was especially excellent, our favorite for sure. The rice salad was also really refreshing andsurprisingly quite aesthetic. A huge recommend for Thai food lovers that are willing to splurge a little bit. Read more
A wonderful vegan menu that was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, informative, and... attentive. It was such an interesting selection of unique dishes that aren't found in most Thai restaurants. Portions are smallbut the selection is plentiful. Lots of fresh, complex, authentic flavours. Kiin is back, but in a somewhat different format. No longer a la carte, there's not much choice in your meal, but definitely a... lot of variety. They're just starting out after a long break, so hopefully they will work off some of the rust and it'll berunning on all cylinders soon. Food definitely look good for social media, but they might be a bit understaffed which led toslower service and some dishes arriving lukewarm. Hope to go back in the future to try again. Read more
I've been in the restaurant industry for 20 years and have yet to see hospitality like we received at Kiin. Such a passionate... team who visited our table and made our birthday celebration a beautifully unique and special experience. The food and drinkswere exceptional and we can't wait to come back and visit -- everything was exceptional but our favorites were the Braised ShortRib, the purple dumpling and the spring roll from the appetizer course. One of the best dining experiences in Toronto in 2022. A restaurant with so much culture, passion and care for their customers.... Chef Nuit was kind enough to bring our main courses and describe every dish with so much detail and love for her craft. Its hardto find chefs with so much experience, creativity, and embrace their culture and talent to showcase different dishes fromThailand. Both Chef and her husband and owner Jeff are such caring people. Makes you excited to try new dishes and flavourcombinations. We started off with an amuse bouche that embraces Thai cuisine, so fresh and packed with layers of flavour. Thenthe appetizers with excellent vegetarian options that align with the meat option (i.e mushroom floss in substitution of fishfloss paired with watermelon). The vegetarian noodle dish, Yum Kanon Jeen was spectacular. For the main course, we were broughtcountless small plates including curries, relish, soups, roti, salad, etc. All layered with flavours, many of which haveingredients imported from Thailand which are hard to source in Toronto. The quality and taste of the ingredients reallyhighlight the technique of each course. You can feel the love in everything that they do here. I’m in love with this restaurant. Kiin currently only offers a set menu for $95, so it made everything super easy to order.... Our dishes were so intricately presented and tasted delicious. Every bite was even better than the last. My favourite dish wasthe Khao Soi Pad Haeng! Read more
Came here for dinner on Saturday and had a wonderful experience. The tasting menu was delicious. Each bite was a burst of... flavour. Service was amazing. They explained each dish and frequently checked on us. They also gave us complimentary glasses ofchampagne for a birthday celebration. Read more
