Kibo has surprised me by being consistently delicious, and fresh in concept. The food has rarely disappointed and, for a chain,... that is unusual. Wish it had a dine-in option but I'm happy living without it for now. Read more
Just left, after waiting in the store to be served and no one came to take my order, there upstairs working (busy I get it) but... with no one in the store for pick up or to place an order and I get a quick glance from one of the girls working there but stillno Hi, how can I help you or any kind of service. It?s funny cause they have a sign at the register about increased prices dueto the effects of the produce market, so first increased prices as well as no acknowledgement, seems as though the business onlyserves delivery services like door dash, Uber or skip. Not to mention that I callled for pick up, was told to wait and the callwas just hung up. Anywho, horrible service and even though I didn?t get the opportunity to taste the food, I doubt for thefrustration gained, that the food is good enough to appease. Kibo taking over. New locations popping up everywhere. No issues ordering over the phone and picking up at this location.
Really impressed with this place! The price point is on par with the quality, freshness and taste of their food - which is... ultimately what I look for. We usually travel cross-town to go to our favourite sushi places so I'm happy to see more placeslike this opening up. Ordered butterfish sashimi, salmon hand roll and the salmon avocado roll. The last two mentioned hadthis red mayo sauce (supposed to be spicy? not sure) drizzled on top which to me I don't think they needed. They were tastyenough on their own. Service was friendly. Orders of tuna are substituted with flour plus tiny tuna pieces, decorated, and sold as tuna. Open up your roll! Top looks like... meat all spicy flour inside. Picture is what?s inside of a tuna hand roll. That?s not tuna! Horrible! Read more
So happy that a Kibo opened in the upper beaches! We've been to the Queen/Jones location multiple times and were never... disappointed. Their rolls were always on point, and for the price, best sushi in town! Rolls never had too much rice, just theright amount, and everything was freshly served. The fact that it's so close now, is huge! Also their mobile online orderingsystem is pretty good. You go to their website, setup an account, and browse their online menu for what you want to order. Youcan do pickup or delivery, and the great thing is, you save on all those pesky ubereats/doordash fees!! Also, once you order,similar to the Domino's app, it shoes you where in the process your food is at...NOTE only go pickup when it says "ready forpickup"... This will hopefully help u avoid lining up outside for too long We went Saturday evening and it was PAcked! Imean..mostly pickup orders bc of covid and no dine in, but the line was out the door for pickup.. Only mishap was that weordered a side of toro tuna nigiri and even though order went through on the order portal...on pickup they said they didn't haveany toro... Disappointing but they promptly refunded the money...order portal should've caught this so hopefully they work outOOS kinks... But food, quality, and price cannot be beat! Read more
Bulgogi tasted like dog food and had that consistency too. White fish was dry and rancid, I couldn't eat it. 2nd time ordering... here and I won't ever again. Read more
