I went here with some friends on a Saturday for dinner. Had to wait a bit for a table, but got a seat on the patio. There's a... great view of the water right beside you. I ordered the fried chicken with poutine, and although very juicy, the breast wassurprisingly small. It almost looked like a chicken strip. The rooster dipping sauce had an odd taste. The poutine was quitemushy and very salty. Service was pretty good though, the vibe is nice if you're sitting outside. I spent $24 for the food,which isn't too bad, but if I'm craving fried chicken, I would probably go somewhere else. Read more
The atmosphere and location is great and the staff was very friendly. We were seated and served quickly and the food was... delicious. Only negative I have was the ratio of chicken to Bao was way off, there was so much bao it overwhelmed the otherflavors. All in all though great place to eat! Read more
My friend and I enjoyed the time being there. Their Putin was delicious. They have a fresh Juice. Their Bird Sandwich was not... that good and I asked to change a sauce inside my sandwich they brought me that as a side and charge me an extra $1. The portionof the side was really good. Went there for brunch few months back before the lockdown. First of all the atmosphere is very trendy and welcoming. We got... seated right away even though restaurant was very packed. Server came and took our order but food didn’t arrived in for next40 min. I ordered fried chicken and waffles. Fried chicken had really unique flavour and it tasted amazing. Waffles and saladwere great too. Overall we had a great experience other than had to wait awhile for our food. Read more
Bird sandwich comes with a very healthy portion of chicken and a variety of sides to choose from. Chicken can be your choice of... grilled or fried but I can only speak to the fried version - it was excellent. The brussels sprouts as a side was also quitesizeable but more importantly, the sprouts were crispy, sweet, and tart. If you’re getting take-out, pick up from the cutelittle truck parked inside the building, just outside the indoor restaurant entrance. Read more
I went there on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The food was an easy 10/10. I had the waffle chicken sandwich and It was... possibly the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Home fries weren't my style but still good. The staff is where they lost me.My waiter was not attentive at all and I went without water until I had to get up and ask for it. On a day that it was already30 degrees out. The hostess walked past my table continuously and looked miserable every time. Other staff walked past my tableand had to of seen empty glasses and no one would even look in my direction or meet my gaze for attention. It was verydisappointing and that poor level of service is unusual downtown. I'm looking forward to going for a late night dinner anddrinks this weekend hopefully the experience is better. Update: I went back the following Friday to give it another chance. Wegot there just before 10 and was told by the hostess that the last call for food was at 9:30 and last call for drinks was at10:30. That doesn't make any sense to me. So I went next door to Goodmans and had some food and drinks and ended up spending 140dollars there. I won't be returning to Joe bird again. Read more
A very good atmosphere with a lot of good vibes from the customers, the staff and the food. Creative menu and a good take on... old classics. I’m glad we waited without a reservation- they called us when the table was ready while we walked around on anice Friday night. The service was excellent the serve kept coming back to check on us since the food took a lot longer thanusual but once it came, the food was very flavorful. Reasonably priced location right by the water! They have indoor and outdoor spaces and is very casual. They specialize in... chicken (and waffles). The chicken is quite crispy and the waffles are really dense. Drinks were less than 15 dollars per glass!They have a 12 dollars chicken finger meal for kids that come with a scoop of ice cream and a drink that was very popular withthe kiddos. The servers are super friendly, and the kitchen was super flexible! We even created a new secret menu item- thepulled pork poutine! Read more
