Had a wonderful lunch at Isaan Der Thai Kitchen!???????????????? I don?t usually have Thai food but man was this place... delicious. Every bite I took was loaded with flavour ???? The owner of the restaurant was so extremely nice, we really had agreat time talking to her about her country and her food! She even gave us complimentary fried dumplings (?golden bags?) forbeing the first table of the day! They were SO GOOD ???? If you are craving Thai food and in the area definitely check thisplace out! We had the pleasure of dining on Chef Ko's delicious Thai cuisine at Isaan Der on Queen Street East. Our eveningstarted with some cocktails that certainly hit the right spots. They were refreshingly delicious! Bangkok Lychee Fizz MangoMargarita Thai Tea Mojito Whisky Sour Thai Iced Coffee Appetizers followed cocktails and the flavours and presentation wereimpressive! Shrimp Rolls Chicken Satay Calamari Papaya Salad If you love lamb as much as I do, you will love the Lamb ShankMassaman Curry, presented under a dome of smoke. Spectacular and delicious! 3.5 Stars Came in on a weekday for dinner with family. Nicely decorated, seating were spaciously apart. We ordered a few drinks,... Kao Soi, calamari and fried fish. Drinks came in fairly quick with the calamari appetizer. However, thd mains took awhile. Theportion for the fish was quite generous. The portion for kao soi was on the small side. We also added an order of sticky rice.It came in a little cute basket. However, the rice was not the normal white sticky rice as expected. It was purple and lesssticky, it does have a different taste and texture than the regular sticky rice, wasn't keen on that. Service was ok, a bit slowbut they were friendly and courteous. Read more
Cute little Thai spot on the east end of toronto. We got the khao Soi with beef and shrimp. The noodles were perfect although... the beef was a little tough. I also liked the spice level it was not intense at all. We went on a Sunday afternoon and therestaurant was empty! There is street parking but sometimes a little hard to find. Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered the fish panang curry, tom yum, calamari l, chicken satay, beef padsew and mango... sticky rice. Our top favourites were the tom yum and fish panag curry! Soooo goood! I also absolutely loved the peanut sauce forthe chicken satay! Tasted so fresh! Definitely recommend this place! Read more
Really appreciate that they are super careful about providing vegan versions and are conscious of dietary restrictions. I had... the vegan pad Thai with tofu, green curry and papaya salad. The green curry was my favourite of those options. The pad Thailacked veggies and the papaya salad was soggy and not crisp. I also had the taro rice for dessert which was quite sweet and justnot my type. Overall, the food wasn?t bad but I was not blown away. Perhaps the fish sauce makes all the difference! ?? Read more
