Fries seem to be cooked much earlier not too fresh. But excellent quality ingredients I can tell definitely oil is not bad... quality like other restaurants. Potato and fish quality good. Haddock was better than cod. Coslaw good. Read more
I am an extremely picky eater and hands down, this is some of the best fish and chips I have ever had I took everybody's advice... and had the Haddock and it did not disappoint. The batter is light, perfect golden brown and crispy and the fish so moist andtender. 5 stars alone for the haddock! The chips (fries), mushy peas and the tartar sauce taste delicious. Honestly, this place is amazing. I?ve been coming for years. The fish and the fries are fresh and delicious. I usually get the... halibut and chips and it?s definitely worth the price. I recommend getting some and crossing the street to go eat in TrinityBellwoods in the nice weather! Read more

Amazing Amazing amazing. I went with my wife and it was our first time trying it and I have to say it's the best restaurant you... would eat fish and chips in town. Cory was very knowledgeable, very pleasant and most importantly he was happy to help andrecommend us what to order. The fish and chips were fried in very clean oil you can easily tell by looking at it. All theirsauces are amazing. The taste is super delicious. Cory, we will be back to try the calamari. Read more
Hooky's In my humble opinion the best and most consistent fish and chips in Toronto. I like food and feel like I have a decent... set of every man taste buds. As long as hooky's stays open I will go there when I have a hankering for fish and chips even if Ihave to cross town for it. Hooky's has somehow figured out the code to crispy things staying crispy until I get home so if itstake out or delivery you will still have fresh and crispy fish and chips. If your planning on eating in there is literally 4 barstools and a bar under the front window so you can people gaze there is also a great big park across the street that you canhave a picnic. Sorry long post but when I find a good place I like I try to share it with everyone one else these daysbusinesses need our help if we can afford to (I eat out less these days due to everything that's been going on) but when I canafford to I try hard to go to the small owner operator neighborhood place.
