Reviews for Gushi (Dundas W x Bathurst) in Toronto, ON
Delicious takeout, can't wait to try their other menu items
I tried the snack set. The first impression is that for $15 the box is a bit small. However, these street snacks are great! As... soon as I had the takoyaki, I realized that one shouldn't go to a sushi ya or any indoor restaurant for these food -- they onlybelong to food stands. The croquette is THE BEST in town. And the two pieces of fried chicken were nicely seasoned and perfectlycrispy; so good such that I forgot taking pictures while eating them. Worth to come back with a friend next time. Read more
First time getting their nanban everything box after years of sticking to their OG fried chicken box. The variety of the nanban... box is nice and as always, their chicken is on point! The takoyaki and groquette are perfect. Everything is amazing and veryconsistent quality. Don't overlook this truck!! Read more
Absolutely amazing fried chicken!!! It was freshly made to order (so will be a few minutes wait) but it was well worth the wait.... I got the original with red salt and spicy mayo. The chicken was so tender and juicy, and piping hot. The seasoning was onpoint, and the spicy mayo had a hint of lime. It?s slightly more expensive than your fast food chain store but we?ll worth it.Definitely will be back! Read more

Let me start by saying BEST JAPANESE STREET FARE IN TORONTO!! This is one of my favourite places to grab a quick bite to eat.... Located on Dundas St W along with other great shipping container restaurants. This is a must visit! My favourite dish is theoriginal Takoyaki on a bed of purple rice (I have heard amazing things of the karaage but I could never turn down Takoyaki). TheTakoyaki is perfectly fried without feeling too oily. The real star is the sauce a mild mayo that adds a bit of creaminess toboth the rice and your protein. The pickled ginger is a nice pop of vinegar to break apart the richness. The rice (quinoa is anoption as well) is perfect vessel to hold everything together and fill you up. I definitely plan to come back a couple of timesand try out their entire menu. **Tip: try avoiding the lunch rush, this is a very popular spot for nurses due to the proximityof the hospital and can extend your wait. First time trying Japanese street food and wow, it's absolutely delicious! I tried the traditional fried chicken with original... sauce, and rice comes together. It was tasty and well prepared. The regular portion is good enough for one person. It's wintertime and they were open and the server was very nice! So 5 stars for the delicious Japanese food and the great service! Read more
I love karaage and nothing compares to Gushi's. Always on point. The purple rice, ginger, and sauces balance the chicken nicely.
