Had a fantastic breakfast and Americanized here this morning while sitting in the sun on their patio. i had the basic breakfast... despite the delicious looking options of Lobster Benny and Tiramisu pancakes as I was in a rush and didn’t want to rushthrough those dishes. Wow wow wow!!! Absolutely stunned by this restaurant ! We were just walking around the area and happened to see a cute... restaurant Were we could satisfied our hunger. Didn’t know I was about to try the best pancakes in Toronto! Lovely decor,outstanding customer service, delicious food and super nice prices! All in one…. Their mimosa’s are also super good and myhusband loved his Montecristo sándwich. They also have amazing vegan options and super tasty. You have to try it! Just all the right things are in place here. We first tried their food when the GEM patio opened during COVID. We loved it. We... finally made it to their own space in person. Lovely patio, fabulous service, great menu and food, spot on cocktails and winelist. A total win for us! Read more
It's the type of restaurant that makes you want to find any excuse to bring your friends. The perfect mix of high quality food... and drinks with the most down to earth service. The food is innovative with flavours and fresh ingredients while being familiarand non-pretentious. Beautiful and well-crafted cocktails and a wine list that has something for everyone. Nothing on their menuhas ever disappointed and every member of their team has been super lovely and goes the extra mile (especially Sasha who is themost delightful and fun person ever). The patio is very cute - the back part gives fun Mediterranean vibes particularly on hotsunny days. You can't go wrong - I'm so happy that Gardel is in the neighbourhood and has become one of my favourite go-tohangout spots. Read more
We came here for dinner last night and really enjoyed the food especially the yuca gnocchi. Also the service here is 5 star... plus! If I could give more stars I would. One of our dishes had some sort of plastic and when we told the manager sheapologized and wanted to comp the whole bill for us. We told her not to do that because we understand it’s the pandemic andit’s a hard time for restaurants. They did comp some of our dishes and when we left the restaurant she ran after us asking ifwe wanted dessert on the house. Really the service here is amazing and I don’t I’ve ever met a restaurant with service likethis. Came here for a bday dinner and I wish we never came here at all. It's Nothing like their website advertises..may be their... reviews were paid for? I'll put my money on that. I was excited to try this place and boy do I regret it. Photos online are verydeceiving..this is more of a small crammed space nothing like the actual space. Don't know where to start. Horrible waitress,bad service. Excuses galore here. Watch out. Prepare to be "proven wrong". They weren't busy at all and our food took close toan hour. Why does it take forever for a cold salad? And not advising customers that several things on the menu are unavailableis a waste of time for everyone. We ordered appetizers and waited for half hour before they came to tell us they didn't haveseveral items as listed. Unfriendly inexperienced waitress was unprofessional and didn't care about inconveniencing us orsuggesting something else. Focused more on people having drinks. Seemed like she was always disappearing so we had to find herinstead. There were may be four people in this resto total and more attention was spent on customers having drinks? We waitedfor an hour for steak..prepared wrong even though we mentioned it twice. Waitress came back with oily over cooked fries, burntbread. Everything took forever. We waited almost 45 minutes for a leafy green salad. Steak was good but not cooked to order..Go here only if you want to wait an hour for a salad. Never coming back again Read more
