Reviews for Enoteca Sociale in Toronto, ON
My fiancé took me here for dinner and we had a lovely time! Very intimate vibes, vintage decor, exposed brick walls, dark wood... and low level lighting- you get the idea. The food was delicious overall and our server was attentive! We were almost 30 minuteslate to our reso due to traffic but they called us at our reso time and graciously kept our table for us ???????? Our serverrecommended the negroni sbagliato bc my fiancé loves a negroni and I got the Roman sour which was light and sweet, both amazingdrinks. We got : - 2 Arancinis- deep fried rice balls with cheese, perfectly crisp and great tomato sauce - Chicken livermousse- comes with fig jam and toast- my partner loved this - Burrata salad- so refreshing with the pear and squash, justperfectly coated with vinaigrette - Linguine nero di seppia- squid ink linguine with snow crab and zucchini (soooo good) -Agnolotti ai funghi- my absolute favourite with each agnolotti bursting in your mouth with flavour, amazing lemon ricotta sauce, lots of savoury mushrooms- would definitely order this again - Torta caprese & castagne- just a melt-in-your-mouth flourlesschocolate cake with a hot drizzle of chestnut sauce Read more
Food safety & hygiene very questionable, other than that ok food, salty pasta, slow service, tight spacing between tables, high... price for what you get. Food safety: We were seated near the kitchen and I was able to observe the dish prep process. There wasthis guy who helped cut the bread and clean up dishes edge before they were served to the customers. I saw him touch his phone, his face, his hair and butt, and waterbottle before touching the burrata on the salad and cutting the bread with his bare hands. Also, he used the same towel to clean tabletop and the dishes ready to serve for customers. The only thing I didn't see at thenight was him washing his hands, not even once...... Read more

I visited for dinner after work about a week ago. The rustica ambience was spot on, and the service was equally good. Coming to... the taste of the food, it felt like a warm hug on that chilly fall day. The pastas were well balanced in flavor and the housefocaccia was pillowy soft. Overall I would say the restaurant was a wonderful experience at a reasonable price. Read more

Some of the best Italian I?ve had in the city. I got the tasting menu and would definitely recommend you do the same. The... tasting menu starts at 75 dollars at the time of posting. It comes with 5 courses, all of which come in generous portions. Someof the highlights for me is the cucumber salad with burrata, the gnocchi, and the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake is servedwith olive oil, which really adds a nice earthy taste that compliments the chocolate really well. The service here is alsofriendly and exceptional. There was no delay between dishes or water refills despite the restaurant being a packed house. Woulddefinitely recommend and will definitely be coming back. Read more

I?ll start by saying the food and drinks were excellent. This would have have been a 5 star experience if it hadn?t been for the... service. The server was somewhat cold, but at first we just wrote it off as the type of service you get at a high endrestaurant. Our caprese salad and drinks came really fast, and they were great. Then, we sat for awhile without seeing ourserver again. We watched as he attended to every table, filling their water and making conversation as we sat there with emptyglasses. This went on for 10 minutes until I asked if we could have more water. It took awhile, but our mains finally came out.Again, the food was excellent. We finished our meals and the server asked if we wanted the dessert menu. My boyfriend said ?nothanks,? but he still brought us the dessert menu. After he came back, we asked for our bill. A few other tables asked for theirbill around the same time, and he served all of them before us. About 15 minutes passed and I had to ask for our bill again. Wewere trying to go to a gelato shop down the street before it closed but we couldn?t because our server either forgot or didn?tcare. In total, we sat for 30 minutes after we finished eating, waiting to pay and leave. I understand that restaurants areunderstaffed and overworked due to the pandemic, but I got the feeling that we weren?t ?good enough? or ?as important? as theother guests at the restaurant. It?s unfortunate because the food and drinks are great, but I?m not inclined to returnsomewhere with this kind of service. Read more

What an experience. The ambiance, service, food, wine.. everything was exceptional! We sat at the bar - the bartender was... lovely. Made sure we were well taken care of even though they were were severely short staffed. For apps we got the rapini. Alovely prequel to our dinner. Nicely sautéed with just the right amount of pecorino and garlic. When you get a charred piece,it?s simply amazing. For dinner we got the cacio e pepe and agnolotti. The Cacio e Pepe was fresh, perfectly al dente, withjust the right amount of pecorino and freshly cracked pepper. A wonderful carb overload. I can see why it?s immensely popular. But the true star is the agnolotti. The lemon ricotta paired with the mushrooms is sublime. Definitely a must try. For dessertwe had torta caprese with some amaro. Excellent dessert. Very rich but if you?re a chocolate fan, this is a must try. We had amemorable date night and we?ll definitely be back! Read more

What a lovely experience! We?ve tried the pasta tasting menu with wine pairing and everything was spot on! Food, wine, service,... ambiance. My favorite was definitely the ravioli for all its amazing flavours coming together so nicely! Wine was also great, although I do wish we could see the bottles rather than just getting glasses served. I am not as familiar with Italian wines andseeing the region / grape would be helpful. Amazing service and a great chef who explained every little detail of the dishes. He?s very passionate and aims for perfection. Absolutely loved the experience and will be back to try the rest of the menu! Read more
