My fiancée and I came across this spot on Instagram. We thought "1$ tacos, why not?!". They did NOT disappoint!! The tacos were... delicious, warm and fast. We drove by this place while famished and were beyond satisfied our craving for Tacos. It happened to be a Wednesday so they had... a $1 Taco special which they also have on Tuesdays also. We ended up ordering 16 tacos including carnita, pastor, chicarrone,mole, chorizo, and birria. We also picked up a couple packs of freshly cooked tortilla chips, salsa, hot sauce and bottles ofMango Jaritos. We enjoyed them all at home. The best tasting tacos I have had since I was in LA. Every since one was full offlavour and spice and very generously filled with moist tasty meat. I can't wait to try the tres lech cake next time and theirother delicious items from their menu. The lovely young lady working front of house was so friendly and efficient and gifted methe cutest bottle opener Keychain. Very great tacos here! Tired the dollar taco special! All the tacos with pork were really great. The marinated pork one was my... favorite. There was one thing I didn't like and that was the salantro. I don't like salantro so that wasn't great. But you dohave the option to put it on your tacos. Very great restaurant! El Sazón de la Tía Flor is one of the best and most authentic-tasting Mexican restaurants in the city, most definitely in the... area. Their meat fillings are delicious - tasty and juicy - and their tacos tortillas are very soft with just enough bite tothem. Yes. They can get messy but, that?s how it works; so, be prepared to use extra napkins, or a fork so nothing?s leftbehind. Obviously, ordering less saucy options or asking to keep the fillings separate might help your tacos from fallingapart, specially if you are taking out your order too far. The service is very friendly and helpful, although it can seem alittle slow or distracted at times but, that?s part of the homey charm. Also, the menu varies every now and then and they dotend to run out of some items so, be prepared to adapt and try different options. Their prices are pretty reasonable,considering the portion size and quality. We?ve never had the $1 special and we?ve been very happy every time. Read more
Went on a Wednesday for the $1 taco special. Most of the options were sold out but was able to get some chicken tacos. Flavor... was good but portion sizes were pretty small. I would?ve said I?d go back but not after seeing the receipt - I didn?t evenrealize they charged me for plates until I got home. If someone is dining in, why would you charge them for the plates they haveto eat on? They?re plastic plates and I?ve never been charged for dining ware anywhere else so I found that to be prettyoff-putting. Read more
