My favourite place to order in my neighborhood. I just ordered yesterday their lunch combo for 2 people after a really long... time. Paneer makhani was really good and their naan is always fresh. The prices are average the portions are lacking a bit but the food is insanely good. Like the chicken Saag became one of my... favourite foods thanks to them. If portions were bigger I would give even more praise as it’s hard to convince people to gowith me who eat a lot more. Read more
I ordered from this place a lot. I even gave it a five-star in the past. Sadly, no more. About 6 to 8 weeks ago I noticed a... change in taste and consistency in the food quality. I made it point to call the restaurant and let them know. The manager Iwas told was on vacation. I called twice before I was given this information. The person I was speaking with asked what hecould do. I told him the quality of the food has deteriorated. I didn’t want to have to write a bad a review. I actuallysaid “I am giving you an opportunity to improve.” I ordered chilli paneer. It was awful. The paneer was chewy and hard. The vegetables were not cut properly. The week before there was a pool of oil floating on top of the dhal tadka. I amcomparing this to the food quality of this very restaurant up until approx. May 2022. I know their deserts are terrible, I toldthem about this also. They said it was brought-in. At that time I told them find another supplier. I stopped ordering desertand continued to order the main dishes which at the time were still delicious. I will no longer order from this place. Theyneed quality control in their kitchen. Excellent food backed with top of the class service. From reserving a table over the phone, to welcoming in restaurant, getting... food promptly in time ; everything was professional. Was visiting Toronto from Winnipeg, and made our downtown visit worth atend of a long day. Anyone missing authentic Indian food in Canada, if visiting Toronto, "Durbar" is a must visit place. This was the first time I've eaten food from Durbar. The food was exceptionally good. The lamb curry was the right amount of dry... and fresh spices and the korma was smooth and delicious. I ordered the momos 2 for 1 as a filler without expecting much as mostrestaurants that list 2 for 1 items as a way to make a profit. THESE MOMOS are worth the full price per order. Food was okay..but customer service would have been better..
I usually like their main dishes and have been a customer for a long time. However today tried indian fast food, must admit... Worst chat papri i have ever had , probably was made one week back. It was kind of like when you store stuff in fridge for longtime and take it out. So aviod them for fast food, otherwise it is very good . Read more
Food was ok. It used to be much better, hadn't eaten here since before the pandemic tho so not sure if quality went down or... maybe it was different because it was lunch. But for a quick lunch it was decent. Read more
