Reviews for CLAY Restaurant in Toronto, ON
Great space. Beautiful architecture. Unfortunately those will be the only positive things I can say about the restaurant. Long... wait for burgers, fries, fish & chips. Fries were so salty had to give up. The bill, while not a surprise, was astonishing whenyou relate to the quality of the food, the fast food style simple deco, and the friendly but obviously less than professionalstaff. All through our wait and dining, 2 women never stopped posing and taking pictures all around the place, until I had toask if they were promoters hired to sell to Asian market. Answer was this was common.....For this price I didn't expect toreceive terrible food plus IG photography happening around me for almost 2 hours. Read more
The place is bright and well spaced tables with a spectacular view over the ROM. The interior decoration is minimalist putting... more accent on the beautiful architecture. The attention to details is impeccable. The beautiful handmade ceramic vase on thetables drew my attention right away. The mouthwatering food is absolutely delicious and is served in beautiful ceramic dish. It’s an immersive art experience at every level. And of course followed by more art visiting the museum. Absolutely amazing food and service! My favourite dishes were the Mushroom Croquettes and Tuna Tartare. Dessert was wonderful... too. Definitely will be returning soon. Read more
My friends and I had a good time brunching at Clay. There are not a lot of options on the menu, the restaurant is vegetarian and... vegan friendly. The portions are medium closer to small. The juice is nice, called the weekly blend juice. The interior designis so beautiful, I would come back for the space and the atmosphere, less then for the food itself. Read more
What a gem! It's on the 3rd floor of Gardiner Museum. Very friendly staff, and food was out of this world! Thank you for having... me, even without a reservation! Tuna tataki, Gnocchetti and Pouding Chomeur, washed down with a glass or three of Rosé! Read more
