Superior Street Food @ Brasa **right before close on their first day back from a long weekend, so you know their busy time will... be better. How? I have no idea as this experience floored me** Upgrade your fast food experience with a stop in their basementkitchen. Make no mistake, this is Peruvian food done with a flair. Flavour wise, nothing overpowers anything else (at least inthe two we tried) and the textures are spot on as well! **even the raw broccoli was handled and cleaned with care** There isvery little to mention as a negative other than not being able to have it every day. The flavours present in my short rib bowlwere well thought out and they made the textures even more interesting. Warmth and little pops of heat. Lightly crunchy greensto clean your palate as a finish. The flavours in the marigold bowl also very much complimented each other. Feta was wellcubed, and washed while the textures in the corn were fun and innovative. I will be returning and I hope you do as well! Read more

I have only tried Peruvian cuisine from one other place, Los Chicos in Markham. It's one of my favourite places and some of the... best chicken you'll have, so I gave this place a try since they had a 2 for 1 on UE. I ordered the bowl, and it was delicious. The portion was fair and the ingredients were fresh. The only negative things are related to personal preference: The chickenappeared to be mixed rather than breast (I prefer breast) The golden beets would have been better in smaller pieces (The flavouris a little strong so smaller pieces would be better imo) Definitely great food and worth checking out. I'd say Los Chicosstill has a slight edge in the chicken department, but this place is definitely worth it! Looking forward to trying their otherdishes Read more

This was my first opportunity to dine on Peruvian cuisine. It was surprisingly simple but amazingly flavourful & colourful! My... sweetie and I ordered the Yellow Chili Pepper Shrimp Salad as well a Hot Brasa Chicken Bowl. A meal presentation in a paper bagwith a personalized thank you (that I could reuse again.) Cool! A bowl container were I could view the presentation &eye-popping colours. Excellent! Meal taste and value? Excellent. Suggestion for a small environmental improvement? Give thecustomer a chance to decline the plastic utensils on the order website. My business intrigue also led me to listen to podcastsby Michel Falcon, the company founder & CEO. Great life lessons & experiences. I also had a chance to speak with OperationsCoordinator Mariel, who was brimming with excitement about the company vision, the human talent employed as they begin expansionof locations, and the company culture being fostered. Sounds like the genesis of a success story backed by great cuisine. Read more

Brasa Peruvian Kitchen is a hot Peruvian take on the salad bowl. The ingredients are all either locally sourced or all the way... from Peru! I had the Yellow Chili Pepper Shrimp bowl which was a spinach based salad with scrumptious yellow chili peppershrimp as the protein, mixed in were Peruvian sweety drop peppers, Peruvian toasted corn, and golden beets. It was complimentedby a unique mango tumeric dressing and a lemon wedge for a splash of citrus. I had never tried Peruvian sweety peppers before, and now count them as a favourite vegetable. They are so naturally sweet! My husband had the Hot Brasa Chicken bowl, anddevoured it within seconds (even though the serving size was generous!). This bowl consisted of a mixed green salad topped withBrasa roasted chicken, mint cucumber, Panca garlic, roasted potatoes, raw shredded carrots, Peruvian salsa, and golden beets.Served with hot rocoto lime sauce. I wish I got to steal more bites of this, because the chicken was rockin'. I will definitelybe ordering this the next time we visit. It's not often you find a spot that is both healthy AND delicious. We'll be back totry some more of their guilt-free bowls soon! Read more
