We came for breakfast this early afternoon on November 9. We were served by an older gentleman who was very curt and showed no... personality whatsoever until the very end. The lady at the front sat us, he brought us water and said he would be back, asked ifwe were ready to order, then walked away. We didn't think much of it but they did not seem that busy so I'm not sure why heseemed so stressed. After we finally got our food, it was good. The poutine was on the smaller side and the BOOM frites werejust wedges, nothing special, but I was satisfied with our food. The fresh OJ was nothing special either. While we werefinishing up, an older lady was walking around with her baby and our server told her basically to move out of his way. Which, Iunderstand as I work in restaurants myself, sometimes people walk where there are not supposed to, but there are ways to say itwithout embarrassing the poor lady in front of customers. Upon leaving we found out our server was the father of the restaurantowner. Overall, the food was decently good, and we enjoyed the open layout, bright walls, and nice booths at the restaurant.But service was below average up until you ask for your cheque, and I'm not sure we would be back. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because our server was great! We waited almost an hr for breakfast and when it came it was... just awful. Asked for over easy egg, it wasn't and sausage was raw. Smoked salmon looked like it's seen better days. Themanager blamed the staff for being new, which was honestly just wrong. If you hired someone who can't make an egg properlythat's on you. I go here regularly and in the past few months it?s gone downhill. The bread is usually pretty stale lately. We waited 40 min... for someone to take our order and there was still empty tables so it wasn?t packed. Once our food came we realized there were nowedges and that it was fries (regular frozen fries). I was surprised no one told us ahead of time they were out of wedges (theyare one of the reasons we come eat here). Very disappointing breakfast compared to 1 year ago. 2 stars are given because thestaff are very nice, I think they just don?t have enough people working. Read more

I eat here a few times every month and have only ever had great experiences. The staff and management are absolutely lovely. Mia... is our favorite server and is basically just the best. The food is good, reasonably priced and great portions. I really loveBoom! Read more

I haven?t had a breakfast like this in a long time, asked for a sandwich and a burger and everything was incredibly tasty,... crunchy and thicc ???? a little on the salty side, but still good, just a bit less next time. Read more

TL;DR: Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Friendly staff and great food! I came here with my friend on a Wednesday... morning at around 10:30AM. We didn?t have to wait long for a table which was a plus. I?ve never been to Boom but my friend hadand it was a nice place. It has a very chill and relaxed atmosphere which made enjoying the food even better. The music was ata good level where you can hear it but still have a conversation; some places just blast the music and that just ruins the mood.The servers were very friendly and fast; luckily, we didn?t have to wait long for the food. I got the Tropical Twister smoothieand Sausage ?Eh meal. Everything was delicious and very filling! They had some other interesting menu items that I would like totry next time I?m here as well. My only complaint, is that the entrance can be confusing for some ???? They bought the storenext to them and that is where you enter from. Luckily I was with my friend who knew about this but I saw a couple of peopletrying to get in through the old entrance. And yes, they do have signs directing you to the new entrance, but not many peopleread these signs. As I only tried two things from the menu, I can?t fully recommend anything over another just yet.
