I really really wanted to love this location as much as I love the location at the Distillery. I was hyping this place up so... much to my girlfriends and I was left a little embarrassed. We went on a Saturday night and we had reservations. The place wasbusy as all the tables were filled but there wasn?t a line of people waiting to eat. The serve took a very long time to come toour table to take our order, almost 30-45 minutes, and we kept trying to flag them down. When we we?re finally ordering, theywere out of a lot of the things we wanted, braised beef udon, mackerel, uni, etc. most of us had to settle for dishes we didn?treally want in the first place. However, the dishes were pretty good but I just wish the hot dishes were warmer. The curry katsuand the ramen were cold by the time they came to us. On the plus side, the kaarage and matcha cheesecake were good! But I don?tthink I would go to this location again? considering the price, food and service, it just wasn?t worth it. Read more

This place serves creative Japanese cuisine, which is quite unique and tasty. The decor and vibe are modern and pleasant. It is... quite different from the usual noisy izakayas where I can hardly have a conversation with friends. The service was great. We allenjoyed the food and drinks here. Read more

Portions are quite small for the amount of food you get but the food was pretty good. The decor is very nice as well! The... creamy udon had some type of croquette on the top which was okay but the shrimp was large and super juicy Would recommend thetakoyaki, the filling inside is super smooth and soft Read more

Always wanted to check this lil Japanese restaurant out because of the beautiful decor! Literally so immersed in the umbrellas... hanging..they're so beautiful I want one.. I went for lunch/dinner around 5:25pm and it was not busy. The staff are superfriendly and I even talked about japan with one of the waiter girl's. Food was a bit expensive for something common butnonetheless I appreciate the plating/food portions. Did not expect to get 5 tempura shrimps with my curry but that was a plus.Would definitely go again. Read more

Delicious food and very hardworking staff. Service was quick and friendly, and very accommodating despite a large group already... present. Menu in restaurant had a few more options than the online one! Definitely worth checking out. Read more

First off, the atmosphere and scenery of this restaurant is beautiful and the umbrellas and bar were gorgeous. The waiter was so... kind and friendly. Lastly all our meals were delicious and would totally come again ! Sadly the curry was very good but a tadtoo spicy, the takoyKi and gyoza were exceptional. Totally recommend!! Read more

Not bad, food was tasty enough, but I thought it was maybe like 10-15% more expensive than I would have paid elsewhere for... similar quality. Portion sizes were also kind of smaller and they charge an extra $2 to add an egg for your ramen which was alittle annoying, I didn't get one. Restaurant itself was very clean and server was nice. We just walked in off the street and Iwouldn't mind coming here again, but probably wouldn't make a dedicated visit. Read more

Food was great, price was decent for the quality and serving size. Wanted to go to the Distillery District location but you... need tickets if you get there after 4PM, so we ended up at the Yonge and Wellesley location. Wish more people knew aboutBOKU. I regret not ordering the Japanese Curry but they said the serving was pretty big and we already had 3/4 appetizers and 2mains. Server was helpful and bartender stopped by to talk to us about the drinks. Will come back for the cocktails. Lovedtheir cocktails (ordered all 4)! Read more
