We arrived at a weird time late after lunch-hour and decided to check this place out as the last stop on our way in search of... Glenn Gould's childhood home before our flight back to the west coast. We ordered the half-lean-half-juicy brisket withcornbread and it was great. Staff is the most friendly. What we didn't expect is one of them (whom I believe the owner of thesmokehouse) even reached out to our table to say hi and gave us their banana puddings (which we didn't know a must-order menuitem) for us to taste. We came here on a weekend afternoon, and there were no lineup. The menu is small and the staff recommend a half a pound per... person. So we went with the rule. Hands down best smokehouse i've been to. Staff is the most friendly & meat is made with absolute love & it shows. Tender, juicy... brisket, beef ribs and burnt ends was ???????? Are you kidding me!? The ribs, slaw and brisket were amazing. All the meats were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The... texture and moisture were on point - the tenderness couldn't get any better. Arguably the best BBQ in Toronto - definitely inthe East End. Read more
Its hard to find good BBQ in the city after Adamsons shutdown. I had high hopes for this place but left disappointed. Not sure... what happened with their heaters but everything was cold Chicken wings need more seasoning. Turkey was decent Brisket wasprobably the best thing Sausages were decent I was excited for the baked potato but the middle was cold and not softenough. Overall 6.5/10 Read more
I ordered a takeout meal & it was finger licking GOOD, the portion was really good that I had some leftovers for my brother & he... asked where did you get this chicken? Top notch brisket, great mac, excellent beans, and solid ribs. This is a great spot with nice people running it. The brisket... is the star of the show here. Melts in your mouth! The ribs were solid and the sides were good too. Definitely a solidrecommendation here. Read more
Got the Family Cookout which is: 1/2 lb of Brisket, 1 lb of Ribs, 2 Sausages, 1/2 lb Turkey, 1 large Beans, 1 large Potato... Salad, and 1 large Coleslaw for $85+tax. Also got 2 corn breads. Could easily feed 3 people. They had sold out of turkey sothey subbed in half a chicken which was superb. We wanted the burnt ends but unfortunately they had also sold out of those (wecame in on a Saturday evening). However, they had a few pieces left which they gave to us for free! And they were absolutelydelicious. Will definitely try to come earlier for those. The standouts for us were the ribs, the chicken and the sides.
