The vibe, the music, the colourful theme, the service and the best part, the food are amazing! Wonderful patios on both sides of... the restaurant, one shaded and more private and the other one, facing the park and the sun! Reservation is definitelyrecommended if you're looking for a patio seating as there are not many patios along Queen St. within that stretch. I had "ShowMe The Passion" cocktail, uniquely made with the skin of passion fruit on top filled with Tequila and on fire! Yes, on fire! Youneed to blow it before pouring it back to the glass. Really great spot for food, vibes, and fun. The patio is cute and spacious (two sides), the restaurant staff are all very nice... and helpful. My fave items are the nachos, fish tacos, and enchiladas. This is a leslieville gem you gotta try if in the areaand enjoy Mexican food ???? Read more
Georgia the host got us seated quickly and was so sweet. I’ve never seen a host work so hard. She seated guest, cleaned and... set tables while doing an amazing job ensuring everyone was seated where they wanted. The food was great and so was theatmosphere. Went here for the first time and thought it was okay. They have some unique drinks and authentic Mexican food. Service was super... slow and the staff didn't check in on is at all. The place is small which makes that even more strange. Great music. Liked it,but the service could be a bit more attentive. I had their ceviche and it was way too spicy. I love this place; I love the food, the polite and friendly staff; some have a good sense of humor too. We ordered burritos,... tacos, and enchiladas. All of it was delicious. Their cocktails are excellent, and, if requested, they make it with half sugar.The food portions are very generous. Absolutely fantastic spot! Howard and the folks at Barrio make you feel right at home. So nice to find a spot that's upscale... and trendy AND super authentic and personal. The best of all worlds, outdoor dining options. We first visited right after amassive snowstorm wreaked havoc on their beautiful patio, and Howard and his team went above and beyond - literally draggingfurniture outside to set up an adorable spot for us to enjoy our meal and stay toasty warm. I was recommended this restaurant as one of the top Mexican restaurants in the city. The nachos were plentiful and great for... sharing. It was very sloppily put together and needed to be eaten with a fork. The enchiladas with red sauce taste too much liketomato sauce. It weirdly tasted like a Mexican and Italian fusion. Fish tacos were good, had a nice crisp to it and taste fresh.The best part of dinner were the drinks. The spicy margarita is a must. Overall the food itself is not memorable.
