Reviews for Bar Koukla in Toronto, ON
We saw this place recommended on Instagram and since brunch is always a good idea ? we made last minute reservations for their... Aegean inspired brunch. Quick note: our reservations were for 230pm + we were told that the kitchen stops taking orders at245pm, we had already explored the menu ? but something to be mindful of otherwise, super rushed. We wished we had known thatpiece but all worked anyways. Service was GREAT. Attentive and available but not hovering or ever made us feel rushed. Foodwas good. Definitely gorgeous in their visual aesthetics. We were happy we had picked a few dishes to share because of beingable to try more than one thing but also that one, two bites was perfect. The atmosphere was great and the cocktails werereally good (especially the tzatziki one!) They?re definitely an experience. Not quite what I recall from being in the AegeanSea earlier this year but the inspiration is clear. Read more
Greek brunch! A first for me and something I'd love to see more of back home. The truffle kolouri with eggs was great. And the... baklava pancakes were next level. They do some great coffees and cocktails too! A great brunch spot that's well worth a visitif you're in Toronto. Read more
What an experience Koukla was! The food was divine and every single dish was unique, flavourful, fresh, and beautifully... displayed. The vibes in the bar were really relaxed yet refined. The staff were super nice and helpful with theirrecommendations. Definitely get a bunch of plates and share them with friends. We got the tomato salad, the tuna crudo, thecalamari, the lamb ribs, and the croquets. Everything was DELICIOUS. I will for sure be back and next time I want to come backfor the brunch because I hear it?s to die for! Read more
Pros: DELICIOUS food, so much flavour in each bite! The Koulouri & Eggs is great for someone who likes fish (caviar and what... seems like a fish dip). The baklava pancakes are SO soft and 100% worth trying. Cons: Portion sizes are small, especially forthe price. Expect to order about 2 dishes each for a full meal. Read more
The lamb ribs were finger-licking good and my highlight, bee pollen butter for the koulori was interesting, the scallop crudo... was refreshing, the calamari was lovely (dipping sauce tied it all together), and the fish sandwich was a creamy, wonderful, concoction. Four stars mainly for the portion size as it's quite small for the price. A small piece of it is also that thestaff seems a bit unengaged. Read more

This is my time trying Greek style brunch at Bar Koukla. Amazing experience with great quality food. We ordered a Baklava... pancakes, and the most popular Spanakopita Florintine. Both are wonderfully presented and taste good. The yogurt cream with thecrispy pancake is a beautiful combination. The poached egg on the stinging nettles are an interested combination. I stronglyrecommend this spot for brunch. Only down side is a bit tough to find parking spot. Read more
