I tried the pork belly banh mi since I haven't seen it at other vendors. It can be improved, but based on my observation their... bao might taste better. Still a 5-star place to me because of the uniqueness. More detail: 1. The heat of the pork was perfect!Though it seems been marinated for too long. (which is why I believe it fits bao better) 2. I don't think the banh mi wastoasted. So, it is not as crispy I would expect, losing one important dimension of a good banh mi. (for steamed bao though, thiswon't be a problem) 3. I usually really like BMB but the $10 kimchi fries I got through UberEats....they were all dark brown burnt! (See pic) This was... unacceptable. How could they serve us badly burnt fries! I had throw throw it away and I hate wasting food. Luckily the banh mi,baos, and tacos were good. Read more

So sad that my fried chicken bao was so bad. The chicken was suuuper thin, small, dry & tough, mostly just batter which was... difficult to chew through. Pretty disappointing, as I was hoping for the thick & juicy chicken I?ve had there in the distantpast. Unsure if this was a one-off or things are actually downhill these days.
