Amazing food, definitely gonna go again. Also they have this cute diaper change station in women's washroom. Very thoughtful of... them. Read more
Love this spot, I live in the neighbourhood and this is a gem! Super fresh and tastey food, affordable prices, and the staff and... owners are friendly The patio right across from High Park is great for people watching too. Would highly recommend the nachos-(the toppings are layered between the chips), and the fish tacos are really good. Two of us shared the nachos and an order offish tacos (they come with 4), and we were satisfied. Add a few tequila shots and Corona's, and it's definitely a nice evening! Read more
Visited this restaurant yesterday with my wife ,daughter and three grand children. It was around 5 so the place was not busy. ... A man who I assume was the owner told us to sit outside on the patio. There where 5 or 6 tables all empty. So I moved a tableso we could all sit together. He came running out grabbed the table and told us that it was not allowed. And very gruffly andrudely let us know he was not happy we moved a table five feet. My wife refused to order but the grandkids were hungry so wegot some food. The normal wait staff were quit good and the food was good. But that man should not be allowed to interact withcustomers. Read more
Little great spot for authentic Mexican food! Staff was attentive and food came out fast, I decided to order the huarache and... shrimp tacos. The only downside is they close early, at 7:30pm. Overall I enjoyed it and I?m glad to see that local, smallindependent businesses like these made it through the pandemic. Read more
We had made plans to eat here for an early dinner on August 9, 2022 at 6:00pm. My sister arrived first. It wasn't busy on a... Tuesday at 6:00pm. We had a party of 8. When my sister told the hostess that we would be a total of 8 people the owner jumped into say "I will not push two tables together." Wow! Once we all arrived my Mexican mother went in. We came to Canada when therewere no Mexicans or Spanish speakers in Toronto. So she still gets so excited to meet her fellow Mexicans. She asked him inSpanish where in Mexico he was from. His response was "why does that matter?" They proceeded to place children at an elevatedtable and we just felt like we were being clearly told that we weren't welcome. So we changed our minds even though the kids hadbeen seated and we left. We gave $300 on business to Vivo, down the street. They welcomed us with a smile and seated ustogether. So it you want to be treated like it's a favour to take your money and feed you go to this place. If you prefer topreserve your dignity, go elsewhere. Side notes: not vegetarian friendly, not child friendly, and VERY EXPENSIVE. Oh, and NOTFRIENDLY. Read more
When in to grab a beer before meeting up with a friend. Owner said you can?t just have a beer you must order food. When I... questioned his policy and said that was unreasonable, he said it was unreasonable to just have a beer. Then he proceeded toquestion how I was dressed, I had a hoody and sneakers on after going for a walk at High Park, not sure why this mattered.Questioned my tatoo on the back of my calf and then his wife came out calling me a loser. I spoke to them in Spanish asking whythey were being so ignorant. When you come to this cafe I hope you think twice. When I proceeded next door, one lady said acouple years ago when she was pregnant and asked to use the bathroom the owner refuse to let her use it. Clearly he?s miserableand does not serve anyones business. Read more
Awesome sit down place. Unbelievable food and very quick to order. Recommended.
Just mediocre food here. When you walk in, there?s a giant TV displaying multiple security camera displays to the patrons of... various angles in their restaurant. Perhaps it?s to help tend to their customers needs, but surely it?s a really strange vibe. Am I at a restaurant or am I working as a security guard? After reading the reviews when I got home, I now know why there?s agiant cctv here, it?s for the owner to use as evidence against any customers who conflict with him. This ain?t how you run abusiness. Forget the fact that this place lacks any music whatsoever, it?s super dark and dreary inside. Customers are here toenjoy food, not eat puddles in dark caves. Anyways food is mediocre. Ordered a heuvos rancheros. I don?t think my expectationswere high, but surely what arrived fell short of that. I had a few different puddles plated with a small portion of rice. Thisdish cost $12, but really I got nothing more than $1.5 of food. Like what is this? Jail food?! Read more
