I was impressed by the hearty customer service I received. The food arrived quickly and it was delightful. I ordered a plate of... vadas and they were crispy the way i like them, a plate of idlis and a Chettinad Masala Dosa. A word of caution , ChettinadMasala Dosa was spicy even for my desi tongue so be careful while ordering that. The ambience of the place is great. Read more

This place reminds you mostly of the back in India family restaurants that has good Ambiance, good food and some typical South... Indian songs!! They have a long list of menu from dosa, idli, meduvaras to rassam and madras coffee. They also have parotthawhich was diff to get here in canada. The prices are okay if you?re not in for dinner and lunch by yourself and are hungry. Theyhave an iPad to update your reservations n food items I tried their idlis which was definitely soft, but medu varas took overthem, served with tricolour chuttney which was also amazing to taste and sambhar was good too.. I also had their butter paperdosa which was another good thing. Ofcourse you must try their madras coffee And something that was very good was their chilliparotha which had amazing flavour and définitely reminds you chillies from India lol Paneer pakoras was okay , not very tastyand salt less.. rest this place is kept neatly and well maintained. Discovered a lot of restaurants in and around TIFF during the Festival and one of them is this remarkable south Indian... restaurant called Annalakshmi. Wonderful decor, priced easy on the wallet and great food. The service is quick. Their rasam andred chutney are to die for and their Dosas are excellent. Long time I have not had such wonderful ones. Only beef I have is thatthough they advertise Poori with Potatoes they do not serve it and their excuse is staff. Well either they should remove theitem from the menu or hire staff. Simple no? We have been here so many times now that I lost count. For us, it?s a go to place for dosa and South Indian delicacies.... Everything that we have eaten here so far has been very fresh, delicious and mouth watering. There could be more authenticplaces where you will get South Indian food but for me the taste at this place stood out. Apart from that a really importantpoint for us is that it?s very close to union station which helps as we walk or bike most of the time. The staff here is sohumble, respectful and attentive that you will feel amazing and connected. Many more visits to come. ???????????????? Read more

Thanks to google reviews I visited this place and absolutely loved their Dosas!! The restaurant has a great ambience with... authentic South Indian decor. I visited this restaurant on Vishu for afternoon lunch and it was pretty busy. We ordered MysoreMasala Dosa, Medu wada (3 pieces in a plate), Madras Masala Dosa (very spicy) and Madras Coffee (must have!). Everything wasdelicious, fresh and flavourful and priced decently. The food portions are on a larger side so I recommend to order less in thefirst round. The staff was courteous and offered great service. Definitely will visit again! Read more
