Came here for a friend's Birthday, the que was a bit long but it was busy so its understandable. The Front Staff seemed... professional and tried to speed the process of getting people in. Music/DJs: Some of the best I've heard in Toronto inawhile. Venue: Unique Style and Lighting, Sound System was on point. When they first opened, admission granted access to both floors that you could come and go, now it?s separated and you pay for a... single floor and DJ. Considering how small each floor is, it?s not worth it anymore for me and my group of 7+. They let peopleinto the club very slowly so that there stays a line up outside; creates the illusion that the place is packed. I commend themfor their thorough security checks though. It is incredibly small, so it means you can easily get kicked out for small reasons(security looking for excuses to kick people out to make room for others). I will say my experience with the security has notbeen bad, but like many reviews mentioned, some of them are power tripping. Lots of stalls in the washrooms, gets quite wet andmessy as the night goes (shared between the two floors). The type of music they play here is hit or miss for us, depends on theDJ and friends we are with. There is no coat check. The booths are honestly fairly small compared to other clubs, but given thesmaller venue, it is what it is. The bartenders all work super fast and most are really nice, haven?t been served a baddrink/shot ever. Overall, decent place for more casual drinking nights since it is so small. No dress code. Came here for the Fred Again after party and even though my friends and I all had tickets and came at 10:20, we didn?t get in,... the reason? - bouncers were prioritizing those who were greasing them with $200+? quite sad actually. The ?owner/gm? wasincredibly rude as well, which makes sense as the establishment is a direct reflection of those who run it. Highly recommendavoiding this place at all costs if you have any dignity. Fred himself would've been incredibly disappointed if he saw howthings were managed at AMPM. Read more
