We booked a reservation after Alobar received a michelin star and it did not disappoint! We of course started with a cocktail... each. One was a whiskey cocktail and the other was a gin cocktail, both were very delicious and presented perfectly! We orderedthe Hokkaido Sea Scallop as a starter which the grapefruit, mint and pickled jalapeno fused everything together. The flavours ofspice and tang mixed with the fresh sweet scallops was amazing! We also ordered the Pain Au Lait which I must say this bread isheaven! ???????? The soft warm bread mixed with butteriness and salt was perfection each bite was ????. For our mains weordered the Broccolini, Confit Duck Pappardelle and the House Lamb Ribs (which was a daily item not on the menu). The broccoliniwas good this one would be pretty tough to screw up in my opinion, very tasty get your greens! ???? I was extremely surprised byhow GOOD the Duck Pappardelle was! The duck was cooked perfectly, extremely moist and the duck fat mixed together with the pastaso well each bite was delicious with the pasta being slightly al dente we loved this dish.???? The Lamb was cooked PERFECTLY toour liking medium, very soft and mixed together with the sauce it was delicious. There were 3 generous shanks of Lamb for us tosplit!???? For dessert we got the mille-feuille which was so pretty it was hard to eat! The light colours of pink and whitereflected how light the dessert actually was where the layers were super light and crisp. Hidden inside is a raspberry whichgives you a mixture of crisp, tart and sweet all in one bite! We loved coming here where the service was impeccable, I droppeda knife on the ground and upon picking it up a server was already next to me with a new clean one! Very nice ambience with friendly staff. Their salmon crudo was so delicious. Definitely a must have! Portions for appetizers... could be a little bit bigger, but it is what it is :) Reduced it to 4-star due to price and portion ratio, but overallexperience is good. Unable to make reservations at the Alo Restaurant so decided to give Alobar a try. We extremely happy with our decision. The... wood was amazing! Came here for the first time to dine on the patio with my friend. I’ve been to the main Alo but never Alobar. We had the... Frisky Sands cocktails and they were very good. There were so many things on the menu we wanted to try. What we got was allvery delicious. Standouts were the zucchini salad with meyer lemon, yogurt and pine nuts. The warm pain au lait is so warm,fluffy and good. Tomato salad was also wonderful as was our main lamb. We also shared a strawberry sundae dessert. Wow werewe full! This restaurant is one of the best in Yorkville area. It belongs to Alo restaurant that is top Michelin rated in Canada. ... Meals is very well presented and taste outstanding compare to the restaurants in Yorkville I have been visited. It is expensivebut worth every penny since the meal quality is equal to Alo Restaurant. Came for a friend's birthday dinner, we ordered a bunch of dishes to share: Hokkaido Sea Scallop Salmon Crudo Burrata East Coast... Oysters Scallops with Caviar Beef Short Rib Confit Duck Parpadelle Pain au Lait Favourties were both the raw and cooked Scallopdishes! They were both very soft and fresh. Next favourite was thr confit duck parpadelle, it comes deboned and the meat verytender and flavourful on fresh pasta. The Pain Au Lait was very fluffy and fresh with the special butter they served. The otherdishes didn't seem to be anything special but were still good! We ordered Espresso martinis and some of the other cocktails,all tasted great! Great experience. We sat at the bar and found service to be extremely attentive. Food was delicious. My wife has dietary... restrictions that they were able to work around and created a truly memorable dinning experience. Drinks were great too. Weordered the ceviche, Hokkaido scallops, braised beef and the special lamb. Definitely recommend to visit. Read more
