Is a gotcha!!! I wanted to have a relaxed dinner and had the bad idea to go to A&W for the first time. The staff made me feel... very bad!!!! Without very rude to serve the public. Been to this fast food burger restaurant many times before. Staff turnaround is very high here so customer service is pretty... spotty. Ordered a coffee from their app, when I got there they didn't even have coffee made so I had to wait. What's the pointof using their app for pre-ordering then? Later in the same day came back and order another coffee but walked up to the counter,I could see the girl who served me in the morning in the back but it front was some other guy who said they were out of creamersand only had the little milk ones. But when I came in the morning, the cre came from a machine and not the little cup thingys.Just really bad service tbh. If this place wasn't so conveniently close to me I would never go again. Got sweet potato fries and it was so undercooked that more than half of my fries were raw. I know they'll be frying it under a... timer, but then I believe they probably got a wonky batch of sweet potatoes. When I went & told the staff, they acted verydefensive & dint even bother having a look at the fries. After me having to explain them a whole lot again that's when theyactually offered me a fresh batch but again I wasn't interested. The worst part of it was, the person in charge (I guess he wasthe owner or the manager, not sure) dint even bother getting into the conversation or even an apology to look into theproblem. At the end of the day, even if the food's bad, it's the customer's experience that matters! Never going back againjust coz of the attitude, especially the one in charge! Read more
My order got messed up: I had to ask twice for a drink I ordered and when I got home there was a burger missing and I wasn't... given a receipt. Since prices weren't listed on the website I submitted a complaint on the website so I could figure out if Ipaid for the sandwhich. I received a reply from the location and it was sorted out. Good service from Sara. He is amazing and fully energetic even in the night. I am a regular customer of this store and I asked... his name after my 9-10 visits to the store. This A&W is convieniantly located on Queen st. West. Parking is almost non existent and a majority of their business is walk-in... /takeout mobile orders. Staff is friendly and greets you once you approach the desk. This location seats plenty and had a niceatmosphere with modern touches. Service is fast efficient and we were in and out within minutes. One of my favourite citylocations and I would definitely swing by if I'm on the area. Final rating 4/5 stars. P.s I'm not confident this is wheelchairfriendly. Read more
Thursday four o'clock I was served efficiently and courteously by the staff going for the Beyond Meat Combo. I must admit this... was one of the better meatless burgers I've had so I'd go for this option again, however, I must admit I prefer the meat burgersand A&W is my favoured option. The root beer was good although the fries always seem lacking in flavour and soon go cold. Thelayout is well maintained and very clean. The only observation I noticed is that the washroom appeared to have been swept butthe dust was swept into the corners and I would have preferred some of the idle staff to do some washroom cleaning rather thanstand around when it was quiet.
