This place is in the middle of nowhere and it?s completely worth the drive. I could?ve spent the whole afternoon just looking at... the beautiful view and relaxing. The food is mostly small plates and you can order a variety of things and get a sampling ofdifferent seafood. It is very seafood focused and the oysters are incredibly fresh. The one dish that disappointed a little bitwas the red pepper crab soup the red pepper overpowered everything and you didn?t really get the taste of the crab! Read more

Here several times over a weekend. The views are what you'd hope for. The staff, is excellent, conscientious, quick and... caring. As for the food, on average, it's excellent. Merroir was very pleasant. They were very accommodating for our little family as we had a 92 year old and a 2 year old. We sat... at a lovely comfortable table outdoors in a setting of oyster shells, fresh air & water views. Plenty of room to walk around andhave a beverage while perfect wait to dine on the finest local seafood offered on Virginia's tidewater region !
