The food was hot. NOW, let's talk about tonight 11-22 about 8:40pm when ordered food rec'd about 8:48pm my hot dog was cool,but... bun was warm, fries warm and no one else at drive through. Disguising, when I order food I want it fresh, hot and cooked. Isthat too much to ask for? This was the longest we had to wait, you would of thought it would be hot. My rating went all the waydown. This Freddy's on Wanamaker was not a good experience. The others in town have been really good. This one however was bad. My... burger was burnt and my daughter's was under cooked. The children that where running the place acted like it was play time at aplayground. I will not go back to this Freddy's but I will go to the others in Topeka. Read more

I am from California I live very close to an In-N-Out and have it frequently your hamburgers are as good as in and out but... they're not anywhere the same. They're more like the hamburgers you make by yourself and handmade and feel like a homemadeand feels like a homemade hamburger Thank you I help move my ex-wife from Tulsa area to Topeka and I will definitely try Freddy'sand be there because it was really a home town type of hamburger. We stopped in one day recently to try a frozen custard. Oh boy! It was so good in a waffle cone. The smell of the food was so... good that the next time we were in town we had to try it. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was so good. Husband had a pattymelt and said it was good too. The drive up window employees were so nice. Always a smile from workers there. This is a pretty location and the staff are friendly. Good job on that. Unfortunately the food I got (chili, fish sandwich,... chicken sandwich and double California burger) just wasn't good. I know, I know. Everyone's tastebuds are different. What Idislike, others will enjoy. As for me and my tastebuds; the food at Freddy's is consistently disappointing. The chili was aTexas style no bean. I'm sure it would taste ok on a chili dog, but by itself it wasn't good. The meat is ground too small andthin. There were no meaty chunks clumped together. It was thin like soup. Not substantial enough to be a meal on it's own. Thecrispy chicken sandwich was bland. The breading and the chicken were lacking in flavor. The sandwich slice pickles were thestandout of this sandwich, but they weren't enough flavor by themselves to save the dish. Perhaps adding some mayo would livenit up a bit. The fish sandwich was the biggest disappointment. It is two triangles of fish (like I buy from the frozen foodsection at a grocery store) topped with a slice of pasteurized, processed cheese food with a dollop of sauce on a bun. Notgood. The Double California Burger was recommended by friends. I'll admit this is the second location I have tried this at, butit was still a let down. The pictures of it look good, but the flavor is not there. I don't need an entire slice of onion. A fewrings would be fine. The sauce that's on it cannot be tasted. It is lost in the background to the other flavors.
