This was our first visit to Market Street Cafe. I will say the service was very nice. And I did try the Coconut Lime Margarita,... it was pretty good. I ordered a chicken fried steak based on 1 review and was very disappointed. It had zero flavor. It wasvery bland. Same with the gravy (which costs extra if you want it). My date ordered the fried catfish and it was a thin layerof soggy fried cornmeal on catfish. We were highly disappointed because the reviews seemed pretty good. But it could bebecause, when you offer people a chance to win $500 to leave a review, you may get false good reviews. So here is a REALreview. First of all I am an airline pilot who has been all over the states trying out different burgers whenever I get a chance. I ... have never been so disappointed in my life about a burger ,but here it is ...... My wife and I ordered burgers, I ordered theBoudin burger which they claim is a half a pound burger . First of all, the burger was not a half pound burger and the buns wereso stale that they fell apart when we picked them up and I mean fell apart ! The manager approached us and asked me ifeverything was OK to which I replied with a " no not really as you can see these buns are falling apart" She than promised tofix the problem and Instead of bringing me out a fresh burger she brings out cold buns so I can make my own burger with the bigmess that was left. Wow ! Do not come here ...bad customer service to say the least. I am recommending my airline pilotcolleagues not to come here either as not even an apology by the manager was offered. Boudin on my burger? Don't mind if I do! My son and I both enjoyed their Boudin burger. The burger was cooked perfect. The... boudin tasted great on it's own. Although they were understaffed they were all very polite and helpful. We had a great time chilling outside while eating their... incredibly delicious boudin burger. And it's a pretty good price considering how big it is. This is a great spot to savor aflavorful meal. Will definitely be back! Read more

My wife and I were looking for a lunch spot on a rare occasion that we were both home on a Friday afternoon sans kids. We passed... by this place and decided to give it a shot. First of all, the service was great! From the moment we approached the building(me on crutches after a surgery) and they saw me coming and held the door open for me. The accommodated us and my peg leg (in abrace). Service was quick. Menus were brought; Drinks ordered; Drinks delivered - all in the first couple of minutes. Theseating a is relaxed design with a country vibe to it. Wooden tables and chairs inside, and outdoor seating is alsoavailable. We ordered fried pickles (about $8) and there were Enough for 2-4 people. Then my wife ordered a wrap with chicken???? and avocado ???? inside. I ordered the turkey melt and paid the extra $1.85 upgrade FROM chips TO fries ???? (seepictures). The portions are gigantic! We could've shared one plate and been totally satisfied - and probably full. I'm notjoking! Additionally, the quality of the food is outstanding! The other comment I want to make is that my soda was never empty.The hostess came by and offered refills when the waitress was busy attending other tables. I love that! Only complaint (minor)is that they aren't serving Coke (or even Pepsi) products, so my Diet Soda was a bit odd. Not my favorite. But it won't keep usfrom not returning. Should have checked the reviews before coming. The food is absolutely average at best. I ordered the meatloaf , which was... clearly reheated with visible dried fat/lard on the side. The green beans were canned, 100 percent with zero seasoning. Themashed potatoes were instant and no gravy was served. I asked for gravy and it was heavily seasoned with pepper. The portionswere small. The service was adequate. Overall very disappointing. I would rather have eaten at home. Atmosphere is nice and thepatio is relaxing. Read more
