last night my experience with this place was terrible.. We went there by seeing nice reviews by others and expected good food... and service. The lady served us was very nice and gave us a warm welcome. She also helped joining couple of tables so that weall can sit together. It was so nice of her.. She did her best to serve us. When it comes to the food, it was horrible. Eachand every food was horrible.. Plain rice was half cooked, Biryani rice was half cooked, they server butter chicken which is nowhere close to butter chicken. This was Sunday night, 30 mins before the close, so they made all those items from the left over. From all the previous good ratings, i realized this might be one off case and we were not lucky to get good foods. That'sOkay. But the story does not end here.. I am not writing this feedback for the bad food, rather for the attitude i got from theowner when i talked to him and tried to provide my honest feedback. He made me feel, that my taste palate is the main reasonthat we could not appreciate the food. really? This is how you take the constructive feedback? The feedback mechanism is therefor reason. One of its purpose is to learn from customer and correct yourself , NOT to criticize back to your customer. youcan't handle a customer feedback if it says your food is not up to mark.. All you could say "we will refund your money" to abunch of hungry people who visited your place with lot of expectation instead of trying to understand what was the problem inthe food. Okay, I will let you and other customer decide how the attached picture is "Butter Chicken"? from which angle? Don'tyou see its just some chicken put on top of sauce? or is it also a problem with my taste palate? Read more
I have been to all Indian restaurants in Toledo and Bombay Kitchen is one of the best. The staff and owner are super friendly. I... like the fact they will bring samples of their curry sauces to you for tasting. We got 4 different things and they were allfantastic. I will be making Bombay Kitchen a regular dining location. The service and food we ate here are truly unmatched by any of our experiences in Toledo. From the moment we entered, the owner... was friendly and courteous and provided an optimal experience for new patrons by explaining the flavors and textures of thecurries and he gave us some recommendations. We ordered a mango lassi, Samosa Chaat, a medium spicy Dal Makhani, and a mild VegKofta. The main courses came with basmati rice that was cooked and seasoned to perfection and we also order regular and garlicnaan. The naan was possibly the best we?ve ever had and had a rich texture and flavor. Each dish was incredibly flavorful andabsolutely delicious! The mango drink was fresh and had a deliciously unique flavor. I was surprised that this place was notpacked at lunchtime on a Saturday. That tells me that Bombay Kitchen is a hidden gem and is ready for more attention. If you arelooking for a fantastic and healthy meal at a great price, there is no competition; you need to visit Bombay Kitchen. Read more
Best Indian food I've had in ages! The owner, Rita, was very courteous and kind. She took the time to introduce me to several... sauces that are unique to their restaurant and I must say all of them were amazing. I liked the set up and the ambience. They have lot of seating options and a big screen projects Indian music videos. The garlic... naan and lamb curry that we tried was good. The garlic naan is not the typical naan that we know of though it's good. They tookquite long to serve our order but the gentle lady was kind enough to add a complementary plate of samosas which I appreciate. Read more
It was such a fun vibe in the store, and the food was FANTASTIC! Of all the Indian places in Toledo, this one really stands out... in the balance of food and fun that they have. It's not just curries either! They have really done a great job bringing togetherexcellent fusions like their naan pizzas and even burritos. We will be back again.
