We stopped there on our way back from the beach. My 14 year old had hamburger steak and fries and my 8 year old loved the... chicken strips. They loved this place so much that they asked if we could make special trips over here (1 1/2 hours from home)sothey could have it again. I had chicken fried chicken and it was perfect. It was awesome!! I ordered a mushroom swiss cheeseburger. The only thing I didn't care for was the mushrooms were not grilled. I... also placed an order for 2 chicken fried steak dinners to go, at $15 per meal, I felt the steaks could have been a littlebigger. We decided to give this place a try on our way back home after a nice visit in Rockport. Such a good decision! All of our food... was fresh and delicious! Between us we had burgers, chicken, a BLT, corn dog, fries, onion rings, and house made chips. Theportions were more than we could eat, so we left without trying dessert. We enjoyed sitting on the lovely patio and mygranddaughters enjoyed playing cornhole while their dog lapped up a big bucket of water our server brought out. They also hadcoloring books and crayons for the kids which meant we all got to enjoy a peaceful lunch! We will definitely plan to stop hereagain on our next trip to the coast! Read more
I had chicken fingers, hubby had chicken fried steak. Food came out nice and hot. The chicken fried steak had more breading... around edges than steak and the bottom was oily. Chicken fingers and fries was good. The gravy had too much black pepper. All inall the food was ok. The main problem we had was our waitress staying on her phone. Every time she walked by she was on herphone and never came back to check on us! My husband ran out of tea, our friend ran out of his drink. The hot sauce bottle wasdirty.
