Additional Information
The food was DELICIOUS, the pasta was perfectly cooked, better then some very famous Brooklyn and Manhattan spots I?ve been. It... was lunch time on Friday so it was quiet and service was great. Apperol Spritz was THE BEST I?ve ever had. (And I had it inseveral places and is my favorite drink and I?m VERY picky about my drink) Seriously? I don?t understand the bad reviews, itmust have been the day or something, because this is now my favorite food in the US. Read more
Beautiful spot, lovely server. Mediocre food. If you?ve spent anytime enjoying the great trattorias and small Italian spots that... are all over Manhattan and Brooklyn then you are bound to be disappointed by Giobatta in this cute Hudson Valley town. Verylittle creativity in the food. Everything is under seasoned. The meatballs are dry and chewy, the pasta does not appear to befreshly made in house, the fried calamari (while perfectly tender and fresh) was overwhelmed with smoked paprika. The broccolirabe was cooked to mush. The bolognese was an abomination. The great staff and beautiful space can?t save this place from thekitchen?s lack of skills. We have given it three tries now and want to love it so badly like so many others in the area do. Read more
Review from a local ------ It's common that many restaurant owners are on drugs or drinking on the job. But this experience... really made top 3. A family member called to simply inquire about a panna cotta that was bought here, which was basically 2weeks old according to the bar code. The owner started SHOUTING and asking if there was mold --- no, but are you proud to servenon- fresh items at that price?? He proceeded by saying he was "getting very annoyed"*** and to "never come back again". Don'tworry about that, we have been regulars since you opened but no more. Also we supported your business all through out thepandemic. CiAO!! Also I wouldn't let this one experience completely effect my rating of a local business. However afterfrequenting here enough (not much choice there are only 3 other restaurants in this town) and giving multiple chances, the foodhere is average at best. They charge high prices and can get away with it because of the tourism. And the vegan rating for thisplace is a zero, I had one "vegan" pasta dish that was naked with no sauce and some measly zucchini tossed together. I amdisappointed as well to realize they have been adding on a large 18% gratuity when I have already been tipping very generously. Read more
Nice Italian restaurant, you can buy Imported goods and have a breakfast here. This time i went for lunch and everything was... good. Goat cheese gnuti are worth a try. The tiramisu was too big and not to my taste. Read more

Decent vibe, a little empty. Service was very scattered. I had pasta come out luke warm TWICE which they still charged me for.... An OK old fashioned which was made differently both times I ordered it. It?s the only time I?ve ever resented a mandatory tipminimum (18%). Entirely mundane experience with no real pride in service from anyone there. Read more
