We love this place. When we go to Ezell's, we usually order takeout on Friday afternoon between 3 and 5. The crew working this... shift is killing it! Their chicken is the best I've had in Oregon; crispy, juicy, and not too greasy. Their spicy seasoning iswhat's up. Highly recommend the spicy chicken combo (we get the 8-piece so we have leftovers) and the spicy fried okra. Theirregular sides are just okay, but we come here for the fried chicken and fried okra, which are always excellent. Their rolls areawesome, too. This place is comfort food all the way. I was super excited to try it and was very underwhelmed. I ordered the chicken tender combo with Mac n cheese and mashed... potatoes and gravy. The chicken had no seasoning whatsoever. The Mac n cheese had no flavor as well. The mashed potatoes andgravy was alright but still little to no flavor. The one good thing was the rolls! They were soft and delicious. My wife and went to ezells, at Washington square tonight, we both had ordered the 3piece of chicken with 2 sides, our 2 sides... were mashed potatoes and gravy, with potatoe salad. We also ordered chicken gizzard and 2 drinks. We'll here Is a pic of ourfood. Notice the chicken,3 piece is a lot darker than the golden brown delicious giazzards. Our chicken was cold and not good atall. I have no idea how our gizzards came fried like our chicken, but the gizzard were crunchy, hot and delicious.The gizzardwere amazing like always though. Came here as a first timer visit .. cashier wasn?t happy over the time it took for me to decide what family meal to buy.. asked... for a military discount was given a funny remark instead .. on the other hand the chicken was delicious I was given honey as acourtesy when it?s normally charged as an extra ? paid for 4 dinner rolls with my family meal was given only 2.. disappointed. Super YUMMY?good fried chicken! YUM! I haven?t had better fried chicken since I?ve moved to the West. The restaurant itself is... very clean and tidy. The staff was working very hard and seemed to have their hands full. Chicken tasted very fresh! I wasn?tcrazy about the Mac and cheese as it had a sort of blue cheesy flavor to it but the presentation was very good. Rolls weredelicious and sweet. So this place had a very nice vibe and the workers were really really nice. I had ordered the lunch deal for tenders and was... suuuper excited to try something new buuuut When I finally got my order I was severely underwhelmed. Chicken had little to NOflavor and the tenders had the crunch and color of sweet and sour chicken. The Mac and cheese wasn?t ?bad? but noodles were overcooked and flavor was nothing to brag about sadly unless you like greasy noodles. The one GREAT thing was the sauce!
