Reviews for Casa Tequila Tiffin in Tiffin, IA
Great food, fast friendly service.
Absolutely one of the best most authentic food I have had! You can tell all of the food was cooked and prepared fresh and... everything was out super fast! Has an awesome experience with great staff. Will defiantly be back! Read more
Place was fairly busy when we walked in. Chips and salsa showed up fairly quickly by a young, expressionless gal. Then we... waited, and waited. No water, no drink orders. Large group that came in right after us had drinks and their orders taken. Stillnothing. We left a few bucks for the "free" chips and salsa and left. No one said anything or even seemed to notice. Plus, thelack of acoustics in there makes it quite noisy. We definitely won't be back. Went to Sobremesa in N. Liberty (Google maps saidit was closed in Sundays, but it's not, so I submitted an edit). Had the most DELICIOUS fajitas ranchero (was the special-hadnever had that before, so am glad I noticed it). Very friendly wait staff. Read more
Our family loves Casa Tequila. It's the first place my son asks to go to when we say we're going to go out to eat. The staff... is incredibly friendly and have taken the time to get to know us a bit. They know our preferred drinks and all of our go-tomeals. They even greet our son by name and know his order including special request to have the queso on the side instead of ontop of his chicken and rice. They know if we're trying something new and ask us how we like it if we don't order one of ourusual meals. The food is always hot, nicely presented, and tastes great. Our family's favorites are the Chicken & Rice,Enchiladas Divorciadas, and Pollo Sonora, but literally everything we've had there is great. Read more
Fantastic, new building is great. Food is awesome as usual. Highly recommended.
Thrilled to find authentic Mexican food in Iowa on our summer RV road trip. Definitely the exception rather than the rule -... most "mexican" food in the midwest is anything but. The staff was friendly and attentive and provided us great service. Weenjoyed the enchiladas divorciadas, coctel del camaron, steak ranchero, and queso fundido with some lime margaritas and a DosEquis Amber. It definitely was not to the spice level we are accustomed, but was plenty flavorful and enjoyable. Read more
After looking over at their website and reading some of the reviews.. We decided to try this today at lunch and placed a pick-up... order. We ordered a lunch steak Ranchero, steak chimi and combo #6 with a side of taco and hot sauce. As soon as I opened myorder (steak ranchero) I was dismayed. The food looked extremely bland as if someone just threw everything on a plate withouteven thinking about it. The shredded cheese for the taco was on the side of the plate, not in or even on the taco itself. Itdidn't look fresh at all. The steak, including the chimi, was extremely chewy and dry - you can tell from the picture. It didn'tcome with onions, bell peppers - nothing. I can tell it wasn't fresh. I hate to use the word "disgusting" but it's almost whatit looked like. Unsurprisingly, our food tasted the way it looked. Oh they also forgot the hot sauce, which we mentioned twiceon the phone. I'm not sure if this was due to the order being to-go or that it's lunch, because it looks nothing like thepictures they have online. I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt; hence, the only reason why I'm not giving it 1 star. Read more
VERY indifferent service. Not terrible but not friendly or accommodating at all. Food was pretty good but nothing outstanding... for lunch. Salsa and chips were outstanding. Really dislike the waiter standing over me as I am forced to accept the default 20%tip on the digital bill pad because the only lower choice is "no tip." Overall a cold and unfriendly atmosphere, probably worththe price of the food but not a 20% service tip. Read more
