Another pleasant surprise on Tierre Verde. We overheard someone in our community pool talking about this place - didn?t even... know it was there. It?s pretty small, can?t imagine what it?s like during high season, but at least they take reservations. We heard the pizza was very good, and it looked good, but we opted for gnocchi and linguine in clam sauce and they wereexcellent. Service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back. Hands down one the best pizza we?ve had in awhile. Also, being a Chicago native there was never a shortage of great restaurants... in the city. We struggled to find a decent Italian place in the St Pete area. Fortunately Circo arrived in the neighborhood! We love their menu, everything is spot on! This is really an excellent place, an obscure hole in the wall but well worth the visit. Attentive and friendly service and... wonderful food. The grouper livornese was unbelievable, a big piece of fresh fish in a terrific sauce with roasted potatoes andzucchini. Also the lasagna was great. I would rate the pizza as mediocre; tasty enough but the crust had the mouth feel ofsomething that had been reheated. On the other hand, the tiramisu was mind-blowingly splendid! I gave it only 4 stars becausethe acoustics make it a very noisy place - with fewer than 10 guests recently the decibel level hovered in the mid to high 70s,which makes intimate conversations impossible. Just ordered the Montanaro pizza and added olives and Italian sausage. I picked it up in 20 minutes and it was piping hot. Crisp... crust and perfectly flavor-balanced. Mozzarella was fresh. Sausage perfectly spiced. Will definitely dine in or order out again. Read more
