Have made Kangas a stop on cross country drives for the past 30 years. It's a great, relaxing and refreshing pit stop. Still a... fantastic experience with great customer service, but the facility is really starting to show its age. Definitely needs aface-lift. Best Finn pancakes in town! I came back after 8 years and was looking for Hoito or Scan House. Both are closed now and it... worried me that their might not be a good place for Finn Pancakes. Went in on "Pancake Tuesday" for my first Kangas visit. More than lived up to the hype. Service was prompt and friendly while... the food was just perfect. Bacon? Perfect. Sausages? Perfect. Pancakes? Extra perfect. A member of my party said the eggsBenedict were also perfect. Dirty dishes were removed quickly from the table and our server was quick to offer refills and getthe bill. It?s been too long since I was able to have my weekend sauna due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today was my triumphant return, and... it was glorious! Small, medium and large rooms available. $28 got me a small room for an hour and a half, and it was worthevery nickel considering how good I feel afterwards. The fun doesn?t end at the sauna. Afterwards I relaxed in the patio and hada delicious bacon and egg breakfast. Kangas has some of the best Finn pancakes pound for pound in the city. French toast, eggsbenedict and a fine spot for an omelet with a morning coffee. I have never tried the lunch menu, but I was really liking thelooks of the sandwiches and burgers at the tables around me. This city had better not lock down again. Came here for breakfast after hearing that Finnish Pancakes or "Hoito" are a local favorite. The food was delicious and well... priced, and the service excellent! Would have stayed for a round at the sauna if we'd had more time! Read more
