Reviews for Sunset Grill in Three Lakes, WI
Good food! Very accommodating to arrange for 14 of us. Excellent wait staff.
The entire staff was great! They cater to Veterans in an extra special way. I was with a group of a dozen Vets and every one of... us ???????? had a breakfast that was delicious. If you stop in to eat, my favorite is the Apple Fritter French Toast! OMG,made with homemade apple-fritter bread. I recommend the Sunset Grill as a must stop! Read more
Overall pretty disappointed here. Skillet was coated in some sort of gross oil and the hashbrowns weren't cooked properly.... Pancake with their "specialty" apples was thin, flat, lacking flavor, and the apples were burned. Biscuits and gravy were thebest part and were still displeasing. We were so excited to go here and it just really missed the mark for us. Read more
The lowest tip on the credit card machine is 20%?! That's presumptive. 50 minute wait for our expensive burgers (dining room... less than half full), no Captain Morgan, inattentive waitress, foul kitchen banter easily overheard in the dining area, was verymuch not worth a 20% tip, or the $90 bill (before tip). Fair warning: the fish sandwich comes with cole-slaw on the fish! We hadsuch high hopes with new ownership, but we won't be going back. Read more

We're hooked. After years of coming to the Three Lakes area my wife and I finally visited the Sunset Grill. Boy were we... surprised. I am a very picky customer, I'll admit, and I had become accustomed to mediocre and sub-par food from localrestaurants, but The Sunset Grill was a welcome change! The Good: The food is spectacular. It is the usual diner fare, but theGrill sticks to what it does best- classic American food that is expected to be eaten on an empty stomach. The food tastes likeyou're eating in someone's kitchen, not a casual restaurant. The food quality is very good, obviously they are using goodingredients and keeping up with kitchen standards. The country fried steak is very good as are the pancakes (get the chocolatechips and whipped cream). The hash browns are golden brown and actually seasoned to have taste. The building is clean and homeyinside with beautiful views of the lake. The Bad: My only complaint is the hours of operation are a little wonky (call beforeyou drive, just to verify the hours), but I know this is due to the staffing shortages we see everywhere. This leads me directlyinto the incredible. The INCREDIBLE: Tony the owner was bussing tables and seating customers. To see an owner working as hardand as humbly as I watched him work was truly a breath of fresh air. Tony was genuinely nice and has an awesome staff. Kim wasour waitress and was personable and excited to help. Kim was an amazing server and I'll be glad to visit again soon just to sayto her again. The kitchen staff. I didn't catch their names but they worked tirelessly and turned out repeatedly great food. They are unsung heroes who I hope never leave the Grill. All in all, a favorite experience of Three Lakes. A new tradition formy family! Read more
