It was a blast. I took my 16 year old son and a his lifelong friend - the three of us had an absolute blast and will do it... again! We've now fired up other Dads and sons - there may be a Moms and daughters trip before it's over. :-) Onsight staff,Cameron and Sylas, were both kind, professional, friendly, and very helpful. The only negative was it was rather hot inside thebuilding - AC can be very expensive in a building like that, but it was uncomfortably warm - it was a HOT Southern CA day. Evenceiling or big fans (especially) in the "lobby" area to move air around would have been appreciated. But GREAT TIME, we'll beback! ...ps - maybe some orange flags/flashlights in the hands of the "traffic directors" when they need to direct trafficand/or a bullhorn would be helpful to capture people's attention and provide direction, BUT again super fun! Had a blast. Facilities were clean, staff were friendly and Cars were fully functional. There are room improvements such... realistic wait times. Temperature was warm and uncomfortable. Wow! Can?t say enough about these guys! Not only is this one of the most fun experiences for kids who are fans of competing... against their own record, but honestly, at the age of 38, I have fallen in love with how interesting this is for myself!Separately, cannot say enough about the team at K1 Thousand Oaks. We drive 20+ miles out of our way simply because of the teamwho works here! They are professional - but fun! They are serious about safety, but willing to give the kids and adults tips onbeating their own race time! They remember their customers, and honestly: I do not know many people who would actually remembercustomers by face / name. There?s just something special about that. Feeling like this particular location hits every feel goodbutton for my son, my daughter and I. We now come weekly! And not to mention that if you come on a Tuesday, the races are buytwo get one free! And if you love it, they let you pre-purchase races at the discounted price! Took kids and friend there for first time and it was terrific. Good operation, pretty good crowd on a Memorial Day weekend. Kids... loved it, and then you get a scorecard with all kinds performance stats, plenty of room for non-participants to relax, playarcade games or have drink at the bar. Read more

Pros It was my first time, I had a great time. The staff was very helpful. The facility itself was really nice set up. Cons: we... were told each lap is $28 for 12 laps that?s not true. Couple people in our party had less than 12 laps and paid the same thosewho had 12 laps. So basically you are competing to be in front not competing against time only. The young lady that helped our family went above and beyond. Very helpful, explained things well, and my kids had a blast there.... Everything was great, we didn't try the food, but we were able to play the arcades with my toddlers. While my older kids drovethe go carts. They enjoyed every minute.
