Reviews for Ten Ren's Tea in Thornhill, ON
Great atmosphere for a light meal, I really like the decor. I miss the tea houses in Taiwan and this place reminds me of them so... much. Food was great. Got the dandan noods with pork chops. Not sure why it can't just be dandan, the pork chop just has to comewith! Then got the boiled lettuce in meat sauce and Taiwanese sausages from the snacks section. Aces! Service was great. Onlydownfalls are: washroom needs plumbing issues resolved. The ladies' ones just didn't flush properly. I saw it had a big ball oftoilet paper stuck and tried to flush initially cuz if it didn't go, I wasn't gonna go. I just held the flusher down and itfinally did, thank goodness. Later on I hear them say: hey is the toilet still stuck? Eek. And also - no Amex! Read more
I enjoy the food here. The menu has a good variety of authentic Taiwanese food. Daily specials pair an entree and tea. It?s... worth paying extra for tapioca, as they have high quality flavourful bubbles. Desserts vary from waffles and ice cream to grassjelly with toppings. Part of this place is a store selling packaged teas and teapots. Read more

I love the local Taiwanese style franchise restaurant, higher quality dining experience, good for family/friends gathering, or... business meals environment. They also sell their own Tea brand products & traditional Chinese Tea Pot set. If you plan tovisit Taiwan in the near future, this restaurant is a good starting point to explore what kind of foods you might encounter. Read more
This Ten Ren tea shop now offer cooked dishes, some with tea and herbal flavor which I at first thought was unique and special.... They are not since I could hardly taste any difference. The Genmaiche Bream Fish Rice Bowl tasted much like Teriyaki Eel onrice. Something kind normal but given a fake and deceiving name. The broccoli and carrots pieces come cold from the fridge. Thechef could have warm it up a little in boiled water. No pride in his skill. Then, the Chinese Herbal Soup with Pork Ribs withrice. The soup is filled basically with goji berries, and dates. The pork ribs can rip off the bone which is nice but the meatis still quite tough to bite on. Could have been better and soft if it was skewed longer. It was served with sprinkle saltinstead of premium soy sauce. Another disappointment with the chef's skills. They should maybe just stay with the Tea business. Read more
Known primarily for their bubble teas, who knew they also serve hot Taiwanese food that is both good and authentic OG. Expansive... and airy place at Richmond Hill with a retail tea place on one side and a dining area on another. They feature a dizzying arrayof bubble teas, better quality than other BT places. They also have slush options that are more desserts than drinks. Read more
