Great food, bad service. Online ordering doesn't work. I try it every time I order. When I call in my order I often can't get... through. When picking up an order I have to wait in the same line as people ordering which takes too long and is frustrating. Myfood is almost always cold by the time I pay. First time visiting this place and decided to try their tacos. The grilled chicken one was okay, the pulled brisket was much... better. Overall the tacos were not bad but kinda overpriced tbh - $16.99+tax for 2 tacos. Service wasn't rude but wasn't greateither. I also got there close to closing time, so that mught be why. Sheli's is Legit!! Tucked away in the plaza at Chabad Gate and Bathurst St in Thornhill is one of the areas truly amazing... restaurants. Sheli's is legit, as I have travelled all over North America and ate at of some of the most established FriedChicken Joints America has to offer. Some Examples are Hattie B's in Nashville, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Memphis,Sams Fried Chicken and Donuts in Houston and The Red Yeti in Jeffersonville IN. I've had some good Fried Chicken and SouthernStyle foods. Sheli's is no exception, I found the place purely by Fluke after picking up my kids from a birthday party in theplaza. I saw the sign, I saw the crowd, and I saw all the Kippahs so I was curious. Low and Behold, little did I know thatThornhill has its own fried chicken joint. Sheli's has gone so far as to keep it Kosher but keep it as Southern Style aspossible with its pressure cooked chicken and other items. I spoke to the guy at the counter who although busy, was more thanhappy to share the history and the concept of Sheli's. Based on his recommendation we got an order of Home Cut Fries, a helpingof Popcorn Chicken and I personally tried the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. We loved everything we got, the fries were very good, thechicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was out of this world. Place nice and clean. Excellent onion rings, good burgers, fries not so good. Ordered 2 combos for $38 with tax. Quite pricey.... Friendly staff and fast service though. Read more

Good food overall, with just a few tolerable problems. Chicken good, burgers tasty (although I don't recommend the vegetarian... burger or the specialty burgers), decent onion rings. The salad we got for $10 was a disappointment. Venue is a bit chaoticand small (only three large tables and stools at a counter), plus some cleanliness concerns, but when things get busy and theplace is full of kids what can you do? For Toronto kosher food it's certainly one of the top places to go, although thatdoesn't say much. Read more
