Not even a hint of Indian spices smell. Food was okay, but bland, no spice. We wanted to dine in, and our food was served in the... prison plate - a metal tray with sections. The washroom was very dirty. Our server was very friendly and nice! Read more

Bland food and small portion of meat for the price. Ordered takeout: 1 Chicken Tikka, 1 Dal Makhani, 2 Zaatar Naan. We received... 5 small cubes of overcooked dry flavorless chicken. The Dal Makhani portion was alright but it also had no flavour. The naan wasgood but $4/naan is a bit pricey. Both dishes came on rice. We're confused as to why this restaurant has a 4.8 star review. Wewere excited to try it based on reviews but were completely disappointed. Is this atypical? Would be interested to see a replyfrom management as to why it was so bad. Read more

Ordered from here not too long ago. My son was anaphylactic to egg. They did absolutely everything to ensure he was able to... enjoy the food too, even though some dishes were normally made or marinated in egg. They were INCREDIBLE! The food wasabsolutely delicious and I am really looking forward to my next meal from Shalom India!!! Amazing food and incredible customerservice! Definitely 5 stars! Read more

I recently enjoyed a delicious lunch at Shalom India. The patio was very nice and intimate. We ordered the butter chicken and... Tandoori Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The children enjoyed the schnitzel and the portions were huge. I willdefinitely come back for more delicious Kosher Indian cuisine soon! Read more

This restaurant is an absolute MUST-visit. The food is perhaps some of the best that the GTA has to offer, combined with a... friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. The owners are incredibly lovely people who treat the clientele as if they?re invitingthem to a meal in their home. This is unlike any other restaurant I?ve been to, in the best way possible. Don?t wait, go and seeit for yourselves! :) Read more

First time trying the kosher Indian food. Not bad, bit on the pricy side. They have own app to order food.

Tried a few Chinese dishes. The pineapple lemon chicken was decent. The human beef was okay but wasn't spicy at all. Both of... these dishes came in containers that were more than half filled with rice even though that's not stated on the menu. An orderof szechuan Shanghai beef was fine but no spice. Chicken chow mein was tasty but nothing memorable. The eggrolls tasted morelike samosas. On our previous visit we ordered from the Indian menu and that was probably a bit better than the Chinese menu. The serving sizes were fine though overstuffed with rice. It's too bad that Toronto has so few kosher Chinese options - and ofcourse, because of nouveau kashrut rules (rules that came into effect in the 1990s), you can't really get broccoli, cauliflower, or many other veggies. Overall, I'm not sure that this was as authentic tasting as Golden Chopstix but it is niceto have some variety in Toronto. On the Indian side, the Naans and other breads are very good so I"ll probably go back to theIndian next time. On the cost side - for the 4 dishes described and 4 eggrolls, the bill was about $90. Food for 4 easily, maybe 5. Read more
