Anya hosted our wedding recently and it was amazing! The food was exceptional, the service outstanding and the decor was... stunning. Channing and Kara were the absolute best for planning and coordinating. Kara and the staff worked around the clockto ensure every detail was covered. I could not say enough amazing things about this restaurant. It is definitely expensive, but for good reason. The decorations... are so beautiful, everything is incredibly clean. The food was absolutely amazing. The arugula salad was divine, and the braisedrib was outstanding. We were here for a birthday and they made us feel so welcomed. The food took a while to come out, but itwas hot and delicious. The rolls they served were impeccable. The apple crisp and chocolate mousse were amazing. Todays experience was amazing. When we came they had a note saying happy anniversary to us.. and our dessert plates also had it... written our food was very good and cooked perfectly they did an amazing job our waitress (Shyan) was absolutely wonderful. Very impressive, a truly exquisite dining experience. Costs much more than any other place you might go to around here for date... night, but really truly knock it out of the park, covering every detail perfectly. The food was just fantastic, the drinksunique and delicious, a live piano player, excellent decor and atmosphere, very attentive wait staff, and the chef even came outand checked on the guests. My Husband loves going here . ( and so do I!) We sit at the bar and they make the best martinis. I drink wine and they have an... excellent wine list. Then we share the most delicious appetizers. The pesto stuffed mushrooms are delightful . The bartendersare very attentive and friendly. We took my husband?s Mom out for her birthday. The staff was very attentive , our serverespecially was patient and took time to explain ingredients to my mother-in-law because of her food sensitivities and then theybrought a delicious dessert with a candle .it?s is a beautiful environment with Beautiful people and I love seeing their smilingfaces . I say it all the time; me giving 5 stars to any establish is like a solar eclipse, in that it doesn?t happen often. The ultimate... rating encompasses so much more than just one or two key things. This place has a little of everything. The ambiance is A-1. Apianist laying as soon as you walk in, (granted, I went here on Valentine?s Day). A cozy booth in front of a wall mounted fireplace. The lights were dim and the environment was welcoming. There were people all around at other tables, yet privacy wassomehow abundant. The bar was tastefully decorated to fit the occasion. The service was where it needed to be for an upper scaleplace. Yes, the food and drinks are pricy, ($200+) for a dinner for two. Our waitress was engaging, while not being tooinvasive, (a hard act to balance which most don?t pull off). The chef came over to talk to us about the meal we chose, (a goodtouch). The food in places like this is prepared to be as decorative as it is meant to be tasty. All in all, this quaint, cozylittle place in Thompson, CT gets the ever elusive top rating. Started the night off with Oysters Rockefeller. Soaking in Béarnaise sauce they were deliciously juicy in spinach and garlic.... Next, we have our entrees, which I have to say were quite filling! The Faroe Island Salmon was perfectly cooked, set on tomatorisotto and roasted leeks. I got the Surf & Turf and I have to say my steak tips were on point with a hint of sweetness. TheRibeye was a BIG KAHUNA 24 oz. of certified prime, cooked to perfection with that hint of sweet sauce. Dessert could not beshared due to how dangerously addicting it was. We are looking at my new obsession: Tempura Fried Salted Caramel ChocolateSoufflé. This was absolutely delicious with a crunchy tempura outer shell and a perfect ratio of warm chocolate cake andcaramel sauce. Heaven in every bite!
