This place was well worth the stop! We are not from here but will definitely come back when in the area. My husband had the... meatloaf sandwich, mac and cheese, and street corn. Food was good ,fresh, and great portions. Sweet tea was spot on. I had thechicken and waffles which were no less than amazing. Four hand breaded tenders on two homemade waffles. Batter was sweet but nottoo sweet and the outside was lightly caramelized. Hands down best we have ever had!! Our server, Sierra, was kind, personable,and stayed on top of our needs the entire visit. It was good. Way better than the previous place in my opinion and the service was miles better. There were a couple misses that... made it not great but let me start with the good: the Bulogi burger was something I never in a million years would have believedI would ever see on a Tville menu. Ever!!! I grew up here and fine dining in this town has always been sorely lacking. It's nota foodie town. You had to go to Winston or Gboro for that. But my burger was completely on point. The Korean Bulogi burgertasted like the Korean dish. It would not seem to work but it did. I wanted it medium rare but they could only cook med [thatwhole state law that you get in select restaurants]. They mentioned on menu that there would be sriracha aioli for dipping butit was not there Tomato pie [a carryover from the Southern Sister days I believe] was my side. It was tasty yet not warm enoughin temp. My dining partner got the stuffed flounder with mashed potatoes and collards. She said something was too salty so Igave it a try. The fish and sauce were perfect but she was right the stuffing was too salty. Potatoes [she said] needed to bewarmer. She loved the collards. We got there early on a Friday. Dining room was cold. If I think a place is cold it is because Ihate too warm restaurants. Our server was Justin and he was nice, personable, knew the menu [had actually eaten there menu] andwas helpful in selections. Beautiful restaurant across the tracks from Main Street. I had the Asian burger, the wife had the chicken and waffles. My burger... was spicy and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were a bit overdone for my taste but the wife enjoyed them. Her chicken wascrispy and well seasoned and the waffles were sweet and not drowned in syrup which she prefers. She loved their Mac andcheese. Full service bar with several beers on tap round out the meal. Menu had quit of few choices I?m eager to try, so we?llbe back for more. I was so hopeful that this restaurant under new management would be better. My baked potato was not a good potato and my soup... didn?t even taste like broccoli and cheese. The mango margarita was good and the banana pudding was delicious. I willdefinitely come back and give them another chance! Read more
