Stopped in for lunch on our way home from the Dollar General Christmas Store & was pleasantly surprised by their eggs Benedict... options! My sister got the salmon Benny & I got the crab cake which we then shared. Both were very delicious, but I personallypreferred the crab cake one! Stopped in on 3 different occasions for 3 different meals. First one was lunch and the soup was delicious. Second time for... dinner and the battered mushrooms were still frozen when they were served. Third time for breakfast. Both mine and my partnerstoast and hash browns were burnt. Couldn't believe they left the kitchen like this. Watched others plates go by and therehasbrowns were cooked properly. Was to shy to send them back. Better attention is needed by kitchen and staff. Yummy food and nice portions. They sell everything from baked goods to gas. I had the blue cod, it was cooked perfectly, the... loaded fries are amazing. Only drawback was their gravy, it's watery and tasteless, most likely chicken gravy, which didn't gotoo well with the fries. Definately a place to try. I will be back. Read more

First time at MacPherson's but definitely will be back. Met an old friend and we had a relaxed reunion. Pickerel lunch was... fresh, perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned -- and served with a generous assortment of delicious sides. A most delectable(and substantial) meal. Spotless surroundings. Great Mother?s Day breakfast! I am so happy we went to McPherson?s for breakfast. The staff is lovely, our server Margret was so... experienced and diligent. We haven't been to this restaurant for a while as we had moved away. We were so excited to order our favourite breakfast meal... without looking at other options on the menu. We ordered 2 meals consisting of eggs with hollandaise sauce and hashbrown. Theeggs were not soft; no yolk running when cutting into it. The hollandaise sauce was old and did not have the liquid gold colourin it. The mashed potatoe/hashbrown had a burned taste (pic taken before eaten), soggy and not flavourful (I left 98% uneaten). What a waste of $40 (2 meals, 1 coffee and 1 hot water). The prices have gone up for what?! We mentioned it to the cashier andit seems they are receiving complaints. Nothing is being corrected of what the cook is presenting to the customers. We werenot the only ones who were disappointed in the meals. Our waitress was a disappointment as well. We only saw her 3x; shebrought the menu, but we ordered immediately as we knew what we wanted. Brought the hot beverages. Lastly, meals were placedon the table and that was it. We had to go to the cashier to ask for our bill and voice our concerns. This is a place we willno longer consider. This was our favourite place in the past.
