Reviews for La Cocina de Roberto - Sawdust in The Woodlands, TX
A different take on Mexican food. Nice restaurant with modern Mexican music playing. I had the Birria tacos. They were good. ... Not great. They had a heavy toasted cheddar cheese flavor I didn't care for. Plus no alcohol. The place was clean and theservice was good so I'll try this restaurant again. But I'll get something different next time. Read more
I?m excited for this review, I first had a taste of it at my job one of our pharmaceutical reps brought us breakfast. I believe... the owner hand delivered and we were told he had made us home squeezed orange juice which was AMAZING ???? the breakfast tacoswere delicious as well. So here I am, party of 2: customer service was amazing all the ladies were so nice and attentive alwayssmiling. It?s such a welcoming vibe when you enter. Restroom check: super clean and it smells nice in there. FOOD: I had DonChuy grilled fajita beef with beans and rice. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The charro beans actually taste likethey came from your mama?s house. The hubs had birria tacos ???????????? he loved them, I loved loved them. I had to snatchedone up ?for the review?.???? Overall 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend this place. It?s a must try. Read more

This is a solid spot to get authentic Mexican food. From my visit, I could tell they have good relationships with their... customers/locals. Gorditas and tacos are somewhat customizable, but I'd recommend going the gordita route; that masa shell wasexcellent. For the meats: the grilled chicken was a little boring and couldn't stand alone, the carne asada was juicy with goodflavor, and the barbacoa was a fatty cut with tons of flavor. Service was excellent and I can tell this place is run bygenuinely kind people. This place is worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. Read more

A little gem hidden away. The Woodlands has always lacked in Mexican food for years, until recently a couple places sprouted... out including this spot. The outside might be deceiving as it's located next to a gas station but you miss out by passing itby. This is a great place to catch lunch. It has a really warm and inviting staff, modern interior. Food was all fresh andexcellent. Chips tasted like they were made in house and crispy. Everything was excellent and hit the spot. The Fajita BurritoBowl is a winner! Read more
