Hmm...where to start. Well, short and sweet. Friendly service but there is absolutely nothing special other than it's one of... the only Chinese places in The Woodlands. Everything tastes exactly the same because they use the same brown, fake smoked, sauce. I asked for them to make all the dishes spicy...guess I should have been more specific. Fried Potstickers are nothandmade....I think they get em from Trader Joe's across the street. For the price....put up with the hassle of parking for PFChang's or, take a drive to Spring for some really awesome Chinese take-out at Bao's. My 2 cents. Greg T. Read more

This not the first time I have eaten there. The staff makes you feel like you're home. The Chinese food is the best in the... Woodlands. There Hot and sour is right on the money. The spicy sesame cold noodles is the best and I tried many different placesin The Woodlands area and in Katy and chef's chan's is perfect. One of my favorite dishes is shredded pork with Peking sauce. The egg drop soup is one of my wife's favorites. The pork fried rice taste just like New York City Chinatown food many of thedishes on their menu have that New York City Chinatown taste if you're looking for good Chinese food and and this is the placeto try I would say I start off with a bowl of hot and sour soup and have some of the pork fried dumplings and their shrimp toastis perfect also their Chinese style mustard reminds me of Chinatown mustard another great dish that I like is the shredded porkwith garlic sauce it has just enough of pork and enough vegetables to balance the dish out. The only thing I can add is that thedishes are consistent in flavor and quality Read more

Pot stickers = pretty good, especially the sauce Crab puffs = pretty good Chefs special dish = candied, great if you like sweet,... but cannot chew through the meat entirely so had to throw out most of it after chewing it for awhile; fry is perfection, though Rice, fried and white = NOT good, not fresh -- dry, stale, may go back but WON'T get any rice which is counterintuitiveto this type of cuisine!! Edit on 9/20 Took my daughter there for her birthday this past Saturday. Showed up 1 hr to close and they made room for our... party of ten even though we were running behind. Service was phenomenal and food was excellent as always. Thanks for y?all?shard work and making my daughters birthday one time remember. Original review below So much better now that the originalowners are back. Thank you so much for opening a new place. It is such a shame the one in Grogan?s mill has gone downhill. Y?allreally are the best Chinese food around and I stop by any chance I can. Get the special steamed dumplings and hot and soursoup! It can be pricey at dinner for a family of four but the lunch specials are a great price! Even dinner is worth the cost inmy opinion! Get some of the hot chili sauce jarred up to go! I?m half way through mine and can?t wait to get more nextvisit! Thanks again for all the great food over the years at all your locations and from now on anytime I can I will be happyto come to your establishment! Read more

Not impressed? had the hot and sour soup., very little flavor, mostly an overwhelming vinegar taste, would not recommend. ... Ordered kung pao chicken lunch., it was real chicken not frozen pre packaged, however, it was a bit undercooked. The egg rollwas crisp, the filling was only cabbage, had a nice flavor but would have liked other vegetables to be included, maybe carrot, bean sprouts, etc. Had a choice of fried rice, brown rice or white rice, I ordered fried rice? it was rice with soy sauce notone other item in it?. I Would hardly call that fried rice. For the money, not likely I would return, too many other choices. In fact, a couple doors down is a Japanese restaurant with much better food for the money. On the positive side, the staff waspleasant. Read more
