Not what o was expecting. Our calamari and fried green tomatoes appetizers had no flavor whatsoever. The fried green tomatoes... tasted like flour. My pastachio crusted trout was cooked perfectly, however it lacked seasoning. On the other hand thevegetables were so salty I couldn?t eat them. And that?s saying something because I love salt My daughter had the pasta withcalms in a white sauce , she was not able to eat it due to over salting. She settled for bread. The desserts were outstanding.Kudos to the pastry chef. The venue was beautiful and the service was perfect. I wish I could say better about the food. Perhapsthey had a new chef that evening. I enjoyed a delicious meat Lasagna. We love the bread that is brought at the beginning. We had the fried calamari and fried... mozzarella which were delicious. We sat inside but there was a large party seated outside. We love coming here for specialoccasions. Read more

Truly a hidden gem in the small town of the Plains! We came here for my husband's 42nd birthday. The menu items had many... selections including a few specials and the food was perfect fist sized portions. The pasta is all made in house which is rareindeed. My kids loved the calamari app! I ordered the the Beef Tartare for appetizer which was good but need a sprinkle of saltto bring out the truffle better. I also ordered the goose ragu which was served in a mint farfelle which was visually verypretty and was well seasoned and had so much flavor! One of my 8 yo son enjoyed the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly andmy other 6yo son enjoyed the lasagna bolagnese and he gulped that up so quickly. My husband loved his Skate fish dish ( it wasperfectly crispy on the edges and flaky tender inside). My dessert was the lemon tart and presentation and flaky and sweetnessof the tart were perfect and delicious! My kids ordered the gelato but it melted too fast on the plate it should have beenserved in a bowl so they could drink the meltings..haha Overall a wonderful dining experience and good customer service and wewill be back very soon! Such a cozy Italian restaurant tucked in the beautiful countryside of Virginia. Really friendly staff and the food is very good.... The fresh baked bread is a must and worth the calories lol. The pear and Walnut salad is a huge recommend! Read more

Fantastic experience having our rehearsal dinner here at Girasole with approx 55 guests. Lydia was very nice throughout the... process, honest and upfront (in a good way), and made our night very special. Our guests were extremely satisfied with theauthentic delicious food and the restaurant fit our wedding weekend vibe well. We thought the price was fair and reasonable forthe food and service we received. Can?t wait to return here for future dinners and highly recommend Girasole for any events youmay be considering.
