A go-to spot whenever we travel through The Gorge. Service and staff are friendly and the burgers truly are made with love.... Everything we've tried has been great - we've been working our way through the burgers and sandwiches on the menu. ???? Greattater tots! This is a must stop for me, I always get the best service, and most importantly....... Burgers the T-Rex is my go-to for sure,... not for the faint of heart though weighing in at around 3000 calories it's a meal for two in most worlds, unless you are a 14year old teenage boy who's friends just challenged him to eat it in 6 minutes or less, or you have a large appetite...... I amfortunately the latter lol. I did have a couple tacos before we made it to Big Jim's........ Just to clarify these burgers nomatter what size you choose are absolutely delicious and fit for a king and popper alike, as well as any in between. I probablywould not stay here in the Dalles if Big Jim's wasn't here. They also sell bags of ice I got mine in the drive throughridiculously awesome place. Amazing burgers and milkshakes! We got the classic burger and the bacon cheeseburger. BOTH WERE MOUTHWATERING! Fries do leave... something to be desired... I ordered the vanilla milkshake and it was really good. My husband ordered the Reeses milkshake andthat was IMPECCABLE! This is a great road trip pit stop if you are traveling down I84. Read more
A little expensive but the location is beautiful and the food was great. We always stop by when we drive through the... gorge. Friendly staff, quick service! Outdoor and indoor seating. The birds outside want some fries and are quite pushy lmao. Read more
Hands down this is the best place to eat at. They?re very friendly and make good food and the burgers are huge. It?s not like... McDonald?s or DQ where the burgers are smashed. These burgers are plumped and juicy. Stop by and see for yourself Read more
5 stars for food, 4 overall. Great burgers, good shakes, good service. Place tends to be busy which is a good sign. Burgers... range from $8 to $20, chips n drink extra. I had a bacon cheeseburger called the Jim Dandy which I think was $9 and was verygood. Onion rings are fully legit and almost perfect (burgerville just marginally out does them) Place is in a convenientlocation just on the outskirts of town. Parking is small but lots of street park. Inside is uninspiring like an old Wendy?s andnot the cleanest, but also not the dirtiest. Will stop by again when in town. Worth doing! Read more
Very good size burgers and if you up your order to Tots...God help ya..you'll get Mt St Tater Tots delivered to your... table..lol...it's that dang many of em!. Employees were very attentive, professional and extremely friendly. Glad I stopped inon my way across the country. If ever I return to the Dalles, I'll come back by. Read more
